If you MUST remake this great movie, at least give it the same storyline, with the same characters, in the same setting and same time fram(1979). Allthough i was 10 years from being born when this movie was made i still hate all this "gangsta" style, the whole concept is crap, no real gangsters go to the movies to see a movie about the lives they live that is blown out of proportion for todays rich, well off, protected, white youth. Can you dig it?

Modern cinema is ruining good movies by making remakes of them. It's all just a ploy to use the popularity of this movie to make more money. It's almost a sure thing that this movie will be bad.
I don't have or know the full coverage behind the remake of this classic, but people have told me that their changing and replacing gang's aswell relocating the film's setting else where which in my opinion is beyond pointless. These day's remakes are pathetic, take assult on precint 13 for example! If you remake a classic, make a good one...! But in this case they're already going the wrong way about it!

The Orphans wouldn't let The Warriors soldier through their territory while wearing their colours. By the same token, this film should not be called The Warriors if it ain't a remake. The makers are marching through our memories and dreams, with no parly and no pass. Fans should wear their colours proudly and stop this film. Make the film by all means but call it something else to show it is just another in a long line of gang films. How about: "Real Gangs Are Never as Interesting as Fictional Characters". Bloods and Crips. What kind of made up names are those for gangs?

I support this petition. Mr. Scott is a great director but has chosen the wrong script for this remake, the movie is based in the 70's because that was youth/street culture in the that period. Fans love the flamboyancey of all the "colours" a look not displayed in gang culture in this day in age, i apreciate that Mr. Scott is visionery of film and would love to use this in a remake of the Warriors but this could become very damageing to his career and the many fans world wide of the original movie .Remakeing the film in the 70's and folowing the original script is really the only way the warriors remake could ever be sucessful i know that in film makeing the, pressure is always to be creative and by doing the movie in it's original format using a good team of producers/writers and with todays advancements in filming im sure a remake could be done that would do the fans and all involved justice ! p.s for inspiration see the chainsaw massacre'03 for a great 70's remake a very dark and modern example of a classic film but still manageing to keep to the original script by just adding a few new twists retro film- it does work if you write a decent script and listen to the streets- SUCKERS !

I fucking hate hollywood. They can't make a movie and just say "inspired by The Warriors".. they have to desecrate its name. I don't care how different it is, it doesn't need to be directly associated to a classic. I think people still appreciated "Escape from NY" when there was no "Escape from LA". Nobody ever learns from history.
