I support this petition.I hate the idea of them making a remake...people will be talking about the new warriors and won't have a clue about the origional one...this is getting me angry...and the whole point of the origional warriors is that thr Rogues are the warriors rivals and set them up so they would get wasted...whats the point of making a remake if the Rogues aren't in it?... and they do make a remake without the rogues how will they do the most famouse scene in the movie..."Warriors...Come out and Play"...by the way im only a teenager who LOVES the ORIGIONAL WARRIORS and HATES THE IDEA OF A REMAKE

i think that the 1979 version is a classic.after hearing that the new film is going to be set in L.A. i couldnt believe it.and crips and bloods as gangs is just unbelievable.and there have been talks of martial arts style combats as a main form of fighting id just irespectful to the original film.
if this movie does happen then they can at least set it in new york and in the same time as the original.new characters and a new storyline is what we want if it does go ahead.a prequal or sequal to the original would even be better than what has been suggested for the new film.
i think if they do remake it, it should be in the same time zone....id be interested in the fight scenes made today....itll be hard to master the original....but i think if a few more scenes are added in itll be worth watching

I have minor problems with this remake. The fact that it's taking place in L.A. isn't a big deal, there are more gangs in L.A. now adays than in New York. The fact that there won't be the Riffs or Rogues or Punks, or Turnbull ACs, or furies or High Hats pisses me off a bit. I can do without the minor gangs but we NEED the Riffs, we NEED the Rogues, Sirus needs to be in it, if they change the warrior members I don't think I'd mind too much because it's a new rendition and it is based off of history, mind you. Plus I would like to see a new version with better acting and more than just 1 completely AMAZING scene and not just in the begining this time. Not to mention the anti-climatic ending with the encounter of the rogues pissed me off, they can do much better. I say that if they do remake it and it sucks we can just ignore it for the rest of time and forget it like all other bad remakes. I say we should give it a chance, then riot.
The reason I\'m signing this petition is because I read in an article on MTV.com that it will deal with actual Crips and Bloods. Real gangs from L.A. in stead of the comicy flair of clicks such as the Hi-Hats or the Boppers. This is a travesty.

Tony Scott is only interested in turning this authentic piece of cinema into his (and Hollywood's) cash cow. Why doesn't he just market a 'Warriors breakfast cereal' and let us enjoy the classic version of the film.

You can't keep remaking movies that said and did it right the first time.Asides from that, you can't recreate the atmosphere in the original 'Warriors' because that New York City (thankfully) doesn't exist anymore, and moving the story to Los Angeles is just plain irresponsible considering the current problems L.A. has with gangs.

Stop the remakes. a few were good and now they suck. Michael Bay is not only the worst remaker but a terrible film maker as well. Look ant Quentin Tarantino, he didn't remake any movies.
