We shouldn't have homework. All learning should be confined to the school hours. There should be no homework on the weekends. We need time to spend away from the schools grip. Teachers are out of bounds on this one.

I totally agree, work is ruling our lives, we already spend 6 hours a day (school hours) doing work, why do we need to do it for longer. It\'s like we\'re living like robots. SO PLEASE HEAR US OUT AND GIVE US THAT LITTLE BIT OF FREEDOM.

School is necessary for our society to flourish; without school, everyone would be uneducated. There would be no doctors, plumbers, mechanics, etc. Homework, on the other hand, is pointless. It adds unnecessary stress to some that you may already have from tests and quizes in school. If you understand the day's lesson, homework does nothing, as you are just doing more of what you already know. If you don't understand the lesson, homework is even more useless. You're just trying (and probably failing) at something that you don't get. You hand it in the next day and you get marked down for it. The years of our life from 6 to 18 are our fun years. These are the years before we get a job; the years that your parents make the money for you; the years that we get dates; the years that we -probably- make the most friends. School eats up about 6 or 7 hours a day for 180 days a year within those 12 years, but unlike homework, school is necessary and actually helps us. The time that homework wastes depends on your intelligence, work speed, school, and amount, but for me, it's about 1 hour 45 minutes on a regular day. And to do what? To add stress, frustration, depression, and anger to our lives, along with making us hate learning. tl;dr homework is fail and should be removed, or at least not be counted towards our grades.

Homework causes stress, and the time when people are still growing, the more stress there is, the higher the possibility for: 1) homicidal tendencies 2) suicide 3) cancer (true) 4) various illegal activities such as drug abuse, drinking and driving, and even prostitution. Homework should be replaced in favor of stress free activities.
