Although Eric Szmanda is my fave CSI actor (as you may have guessed), George and Jorja help make the show what it is: thrilling, exciting and different every week. I wanna refuse to watch CSI for the rest of its showbiz life, but that would mean sacrificing Eric too. If Eric wasn't part of the showthen i would DEFINATELY NOT WATCH THE SHOW AT ALL ANYMORE!!
Getting rid of George and Jorja is a terrible mistake. The thing that makes CSI the number one show is not just the writing, but the amazing chemistry between all the cast. Without the characters that George and Jorja play, the show will flop. They are just as important as William Peterson, Marg, Gary, Paul, Eric, and the rest of the team. They DESERVE better pay. They give their 200% on the show, and it shows! I don't blame them for demanding more. What they do on the set is talent. What they give america is quality acting, entertainment, and excellence. They aren't 'less-than' actors, they are phenomenal. If you do not give them a chance to come back, you may as well change your slogan to: CBS- Reinventing the Titanic.
I hope and pray that you will think through your silly, yes, silly decision to fire them just cause ELR took you for a spin. This actor and actress DESERVE what they are asking for. And the ratings prove that!Even if CSI does stay afloat without them, it will only take a short time before you realize that the fan base has deteriorated. And when that happens, I'm sorry for CBS. But honestly, you're digging your own grave.

Well aparently fans mean absoulutly nothing to the big wigs of CBS. It's sad that they would fire two great actors just because they asked for a raise. Athletes and other actors and actresses do it all the time and nothing happens so this was a stupid move. A great cast helps to make a show, especially a #1 show but take out part of that equation and it's no longer #1. All I can say is BRING THEM BACK or risk losing a lot of fans among other things. Awards perhaps!
Last time I checked, CBS was not poverty-stricken. Your tightwad network would rather fire two fantastic actors, rather than give them a little bit more money from that overflowing pot of gold you've got? Last time I checked, ensemble meant everyone working together. EVERY SINGLE ONE of those actors helped you soar to the top of such a coveted demographic, and this is how they're repaid? You've lost a loyal viewer. Time to watch NBC.
As far as I was concerned there was only one CSI---the original and now you have destroyed that as well by getting rid of Jorja and George.. the are irreplacable characters and you can't interchange them with different actors.. face it.. you took the NUMBER 1 Show in the world and destroyed it for all the fans of this show.. Unbelievable.. and how could you?
They mightve been a bit greedy by asking 4 more money but they deserve it cause they are two integral and amazing acotrs in the show. without them the show will totally suck & i won't wanna watch anymore!!!! =( BRING THEM BACK!!!
Now hear this, CBS: Fox and Eads were part of the ensemble cast of THE NUMBER ONE SHOW ON TV, and as such MADE MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR YOU, and they ASKED FOR A RAISE THAT WAS NOT EXCESSIVE. Your sneaky underhanded firing was the last straw for me. Time to go watch The Apprentice and ER.
I love the Sara Sidle character very much. Don't you think with a hit show, they will eventually ask for a pay increase. GIVE IT TOO THEM. Please no recasting of existing characters.
This is really insulting - to both the fans of CSI and these two fine actors. This is the thanks these folks get for giving you a #1 show? Keep your money, you're going to need it when the network tanks -- again! Lucille Ball must be spinning in her grave.
Without Jorja and George, its safe to say that I won't be watching CSI. They both have so much chemistry between them and with the other actors, it'd be pointless to try and recast. No one can fill their shoes. They deserve more money. CSI put CBS back on the charts, it only makes sense.
I think it was pretty bold (or stupid) of CBS to fire two members of their highest rated TV show. This show and the people staring in it brought CBS back in the forefront. I think they are making a big mistake. The show may survive but will never be as good without those two.
hey ! when i heard the news it was impossible to me to go to bed (i'm in wellington NZ). i'm with you ! if CBS don't bring back jorja & george, i stop to watch the show. csi without them can't exist. and i'm not alone in wellington !
CSI won't be the same without Jorja and George. I'm disappointed with the decision to fire them, and unless they're rehired, I'll be watching NBC on Thursday nights.
To the CBS Executives, it's truly unfortunate that you would sacrafice two of the main actors on CSI for a measly pay raise. Maybe you should stop doing generic spin=-off then you could afford to pay the people who've practically saved your network from being the lowest watched network (other than Fox). I think everybody deserves a raise, even if their contract isn't up. No matter how much they already make, the series is Number 1 and Jorja and George help make it Number 1. That is OK they didn't show up for work, everybody has a right to stand up for what they believe. Kathy Dampier

How on earth can this happen? Surely in business, negotiation is imperitive? As an English fan, I speak for many that it won't be just CSI that I stop watching (why would I after half the excellent cast has been dumped!), but also any programme promoted by CBS. Bring back George and Jorja, two fine actors who are a credit and an imperitive part of the once great show CSI.
You're going to loose more money by firing these two then you would have if you gave them a raise. There's still time! Showing up for work but not sending in a paper is a poor excuse to fire a person. You made an example of one. Do you need to axe them both? You can't build up this romance between Gil and Sara only to have it fall apart over a piece of paper. Please realize the ramifications of your actions! Make a spectical of a show that isn't number one. Without an audience you have no show. You will loose viewers and a tremendous amount of money due to this move. Reconsider while there's still time. This show will simply not be the same with the loss of jorga and George. The cast is what makes it superior to the spin offs - and to say that they (and Gary Dourdon and Paul Guilfoyle) are 'supporting' actors is ridiculous, as it is an ensemble show. Reinstate them now before you lose viewers, ratings - and money!
IF your thinking that L&O could do this and not loose too much, you forget how much the show suffered w/o Noth, Bratt et al. Bring them back, or lose a viewer, period. Dance with the ones that brung you, producers!

Today i was watching one of the episodes of the csi dvd box.smiling everytime there was a scene with jorja in it.. But now i heared this....After today i can only cry seeing a scene with jorja in it. Knowing that it will be one of her last. Please bring them back..
Please dont fire Jorja and George. Im a CSI Fan from Germany and the series simply wont be the same without them, because its "the team" that makes me and nearly all my friends (who im writing for too) watch this series. Without Jorja and George we are not even sure if CSI will survive, so please please please let them come back (try to talk to them, often conversations are better than everything else).

How smart is CBS to remove these two individuals from their hit show? Both actors and their characters bring a depth to the show that will be lost with their departure. Certainly they can find two new actors to replace them but they won't be as believable and convincing. Both Jorga and George are the reason I watch the show.
The same as everyone else... George and Jorja are a very integral part of the assemble that makes up the cast members in CSI.. I love George (Nick) he has the heart and soul of the show...
We all make mistakes, we are human after all, so please try and come to a settlement of sorts that will be agreable with everyone concerned.

Nice work, CBS. CSI was going downhill as it was, and this decision will pretty much nail the lid shut on the CSI coffin. If there is any chance of reviving this show, it's not going to happen without Jorja and George.
They shouldn't be firing anyone! Not William, not George and not definitely Jorja! When/If CBS announces that Jorja and George will not be seen in the show after 4 season (or so) and that will be their final decision, I don't know should I be laughing or crying about those ratings (Cause they will if this happens!) to drop cause I love the show.
Please don't fire Jorja and George. They are two of my favorite characters, and they really do make the show. Without them, the show will NOT be the same and I'll be considering not watching anymore. How could you fire them?
