How can you do this CBS??!? Are you trying to kill the show? You will definitely lose viewers because of this. Are we looking at the beginning of the end for CSI? BRING JORJA AND GEORGE BACK!
What the f-n hell? I watch this show because of Jorja Fox. If they don't bring her and George Eads back, I'll boycott watching all CBS shows (which are pretty much all I watch). Way to ruin the show, CBS. Without the chemistry between the cast, you've got nothing. Hell, I bet you could start a fund-raising drive and make the money to give the actors a raise. Better yet, scrap CSI: NY. Why do they keep doing spin-offs when they should support the original? The others can't hold a candle to CSI: Las Vegas.
Excellent way to kill off the series. Do the exec morons at CBS know that it’s not one character that makes CSI what it is? It’s the combined chemistry of the cast. Stupid move guys. Really stupid. And if you think Miami and NY are going to pick up the slack you need to be checked for a brain tumor.
I will not watch CSI without Nick & Sara. I say can the two stupid executives that made this decision instead! If you really want to change the situation contact CSI advertizers & tell them you'll boycott their products too!
The firing of two characters integral to the show because they want to be treated like the other actors on the show is ludacris. I will not be watching any of the Jerry Bruckheimer shows or CBS shows in the future. Les Moonves fired these two actors, but overlooked the absence of the two main actors and the past actions of another actor on the show, who was not fired for his antics. Perhaps Viacom should look at the man who's in charge at CBS and see that he's not only irreparably damaged the orginal show, but could have damaged the whole franchise. My sincerest hope is that all of the twenty-five plus million fans of this show boycott and you end up with egg on your face for your hard line stance, Mr. Moonves.
Let me get this straight. The "whole" cast has made the show no. 1 - they have made CBS millions upon millions of dollars - the show is nominated for countless Emmy's every year, but you fire two of the "main" stars because they didn't send a letter?? Give me a break! Sounds like the CBS brass wanted to get rid of these two fine actors anyway. They are talented and smart. They will go far with or without CSI. As for me, CSI will have to carry on without me!

Fired because they wanted, and deserved in my opinion, more money? In the words of Sara herself: "That's a stupid reason." Jorja Fox and William Petersen are the reasons I watch CSI and without Sara, there's no point. The original is so much better than the carbon copies because of the chemistry between the entire cast. CSI: Miami and CSI: NY can't touch CSI: Vegas. What the hell are they thinking? Screw network politics, bring back Jorja and George!
Dear CBS - The biggest hit on TV, and you're messing with the chemistry? (pun slightly intended). Just as you're rolling out a weakened THIRD spinoff, you can't support the FIRST and by-far-still-the-BEST show? Let's see ... the pompous guy with the bad doo and the whiny backstabbing collegiate overachieving wannabees on NBC running opposite this just got my vote by remote ... and if THAT doesn't say how I feel ....
It's not all about the cases, it's about the characters and the people who play them as well. They're the ones who draw us in and keep us following the show. Why abandon a winning concept? I will not watch CSI without Jorja/Sara.
One of the reasons I watch the show is for Nick Stokes. He is the only truly genuine character that has depth and warmth. I cannot say that I will continue to watch the show without George Eads.
Killing off two as important characters as Sara and Nick will ruin the show! I see no point in watching it if they don't come back! I'm gonna cry myself to sleep tonight for sure... :(
Congratulations CBS, you just shot yourself in the foot. Cause of death? Taking the hard line. What were you thinking??? While I will be the first person to admit not understanding salary negotiations in Hollywood, this decision is going to cost you. I am a fan of both of these actors and have enjoyed watching their careers progress. This show will not be the same without George and Jorja. I guess I have a free hour on Thursday nights now - the only show I had time to watch was CSI. I won't watch it now. Nor will I support the spin offs. To George and Jorja, all the best. My thoughts are with you.
I this is is a bad move to mess with the chemistry that has made this show the success it is. I do not watch CSI Miami, don't like the cast of the fact its a rip off and will not watch the new one. I hate to think I have to stop watching this because of some stupid behaivor or everybodies part. I love the fact that William Petersen is on the show and the rest of the cast has grown on me over the years. Rethink your plans and keep this show the success it is.
With the recent terminations, CBS has highlighted why so many actors try to avoid any project associated with this network. These terminations will undoubtedly have a rippling affect on all of VIACOM's productions.
CSI is committing suicide with this move. I suggest that CBS should make as much money as they can from season five without George Eads and Jorja Fox... the fans will ensure that there is no season six.
One of the things that CBS has bragged about re: CSI is the chemistry between all players - so how could CBS go and fire two key characters. Please, bring back George Eads to the show - the character's great!
I cannot believe that this is happening. Thet were my favorite characters. Usually when you take out original characters in a series, the show isn't the same anymore. Hopefully they will bring them back.
I think it will be hard to keep the show going without these two key people. You've gotten us interested in their characters, mannerisms, and chemistry with the rest of the cast for four seasons. CSI just will not be the same without them.
I will not watch CSI: LV anymore... I watched it because of George and now he's not on the show anymore, so do the math... You really made a mistake by firing the 2 best supporting actors of your number one show. Really bad move...

CBS/Viacom have underestimated the impact this will have on the show. I hope they are prepared to see a ratings drop on CSI. These are probably the two most popular characters on the show after Grissom. I for one will not be watching Season 5 without Jorja and George. I will not watch any of the spin offs and I sincerely wish I had not just bought Season 3 on DVD, which has meant I have lined the pockets of people who have not respect for the show or the fans.
All I can say is I am extremely shocked. Jorja and George are both a huge part of the face of CSI, and the show will be completely different without them. And not in a good way. Removing them in no way makes the show better, it's just sending CSI quicker to it's demise.

Our best friend brings over her CSI dvds just about everynight. And on Thursdays, we all watch the new episodes/reruns. If Jorja and George are not brought back on the show, you will be losing my friend, and an additional 3 households as fans of the show. The show is not the same without the ORIGINAL cast.
i have been watching csi since the pilot showing, without joria and george then csi will not be the same, as for recasting the characters that wont work at all, people will know the difference, its the individual actors that bring the inspiration to their own parts, the whole tam fit perfectly together, it seems a shame to split them and maybe even ending the sucessful stint of csi just over some petty squabbles. they have mde the show hit so an increase really doesnt sound that undeserving!
I can not believe that you're doing this!!!!!! Are you crazy? One of the only reasons I watch the show is Jorja Fox. She's the only person who can play Sara Sidle. You can't build a character like that and then fire them without thought to how it'll effect the show. Without them back I know that I'll not find CSI the same enjoyable show to watch, despite whoever you try to have replace these two actors. HIRE THEM BACK!! For the good of the show!
well CBS you sure made my job as moderater alot harder these last few days. our international CSI website has been abuzz and i have to read EVERY post.
granted jorga and george should have come to work and then go into asking for raises. but still, this is your number one rated show and you are raking in the dough with them. i feel sorry for william petersen who as a producer and lead actor, has to stand by and say nothing because he is both management and employee. "without the people there is no lab" i will continue to watch CSI because it is my favorite show...granted i am known NOT to be a gil/sara person...i don't see it...but none the less. if the charactors wished to leave it is one thing...to rip them from the family is another. yes it is JUST a tv show.. but it is OUR tv show...we are the ones that keep YOUR job going. so, please reconsider, take them back with a fine of some sort but remember, they are part of a family....

With all the revenue CBS is raking in via advertising for the #1 rated TV show currently on the air, I find it difficult to justify the firing of two key players based solely upon their request for a more equitable distribution of wealth. This is madness; there is no "substitution" possible for these players and their characters, particularly Jorja, considering her character’s relationship with Grissom. Take that running sub-plot away and it destroys a large portion of the human element in the show. And while viewers may tune in originally for the detective aspect of CSI, it's the interaction of its players that keeps them coming back. I certainly won’t watch CSI anymore if these two characters are no longer present.
CBS appears to be willfully slaughtering its #1 cash cow out of sheer pettiness ... it makes no sense what so ever. No power play is worth cutting off a primary source of revenue for the organization. If this situation isn’t successfully resolved, I’d love to be a fly on the wall when the executive whose bright idea this was is called to task after the ratings tank.
I was very disappointed to learn that Jorja & George had been fired. As much as I enjoy watching the cases on CSI it's the interaction between the characters that keeps me watching each week particularly between Sara & Grissom, without Jorja to portray Sara I will not continue to watch CSI, this includes CSI:Miami and CSI:New York.
Jorja and George must stay :'( without them CSI will not be the same show and it wouldn't be really CSI so I think I will not like it without them :'( !!

What a mistake on the part of CBS. Even if the roles of Sara and Nick were to be re-cast, it simply won't be the same and I will not be watching. Jorja IS Sara and George IS Nick.
If CBS wanted to save money by firing Jorja and George, they certainly will have - because they wont need to bother making any more episodes of CSI:LV ever again.
Just because CSI:Miami and CSI:NY are going strong, doesn't mean you can cripple LV. I will stop watching until CSI:LV is how it should be - with the entire cast!
Great, my two favorite characters--and my only reasons for still watching--have gone bye bye. Now "C.S.I." can devolve even further into "Catherine Willows Investigates". Joy. Good job CBS, way to alienate viewers who've been with the series from the start.
By the fifth season of a show the audience has already become attached to the characters --and those who play them. Even if they're the character you love to hate. Bring back Jorja and George.
CSI won't be the same without both Sara and Nick. You took 4 seasons to gel the characters and mould them into a perfectcast with brilliant a storyline. And you are going to ruin the entire the momentum of the show by doing this.
CSI won't be the same without a Sara/Grissom relationship. It definitely won't be the same without Nick's presence.
And if it feels different, I don't think I will watch it.
