I can't imagine this show with out these two characters and their storylines. They really bring a lot to the series. I don't know if I can continue to watch and support a series that would fire two such fine actors.
Bad Bad idea CBS... You shouldn't play with fire especially when you don't know the shape it will take on... This will ruin CBS... Jorja and George are key players in CSI... It won't be the same without them...
CBS should be grateful to have this show and these actors. It's the #1 show on TV for crying out loud! Bring them back or lose yet another viewer in me.
In losing Jorja and George you changing the chemistry of the show and between the remaining actors. The subtle nuances of how the characters interact cannot be replicated so easily by throwing in replacements. It's just not believable and it will hurt the show. This is an unfortunate loss.
I think this whole thing is ridiculous. Without these two characters in the show...well what would be the point? And we all know how ridiculous it is when the characters are kept but new actors are hired to take on the roles. It's nonsense. I dont' see myself watching the next season or buying the DVDs (as I have in the past) for the upcoming season if these two actors aren't returning, especially with the 4th season ending. It would be a bore.
I believe it has been unwise for CBS to let go of Jorja, and George so quickly. Over the course of four seasons, both actors characters have become intertwined with the mythos of CSI. CBS has invested too much time developing these characters to let go of them so quickly.
Characters are not so easily interchangeable, especially in a small ensemble cast such as CSI. While comparison have been made to other programs with losing characters, and replacing or recasting the character, in each case the show have suffered both creatively, and by ratings.
The executive of CBS should heed the mistake of other networks, and themeselves in the past, and should evaluate their decision carefully.
Why are you messing with such a great cast?! The relationships, the dynamics, make it the best ever. I understand the whole money thing, but really, everyone knows you have to SPEND money to MAKE money. Firing part of the CSI core will only upsets faithfull, dvd, etc, buying-viewers! For Shame!
Firing George and Jorja was a big mistake -- their characters were an integral part of the cast and show. Without Nick and Sara (and George and Jorja to play them) CSI won't be the same and will never be as good. And this will show in the show's ratings, which will fall if these actors are not brought back. Please, please rehire George Eads and Jorja Fox!
I'm deeply disappointed by this news. The only CSI show I watch is the original and I watch it because of the team dynamics. Bringing in different actors will disrupt that dynamic that I've grown to love. Shame on you.
Please re-think the decision to fire Jorja and George. It is rare that an actor fits perfectly into the role they play, and the chemistry between the entire cast is phenomenal. Come on CBS, be real here!
This was a TERRIBLE decision made by CBS. They should recognize how many fans they will lose by the firing and try to NEGOTIATE instead of taking such a drastic measure.
Please bring Jorja and George back. The show wont be the same without the two, and I would really like to see what happens to Sara and Grissom, they have such a great chemistry together. Please give the two great actors another chance. Please.
I will have to seriously think twice about watching in the new season or supporting your sponsors. Jorja and George are good actors. You gave them their big break, true enough, but couldn't you meet them half way?
I really think that the Executives need to re-think their position and try to find some middle ground. Too often we get involved in characters lives and then they are suddenly gone. You want ratings, we want a continuing story. WE vote with our "fingers" on the remote. WORK IT OUT....
CSI is a great show to watch because of the way the actors and actresses fit together and form a complete image. It's like taking puzzle pieces away: without just a few pieces, the image is ruined. Taking away two such talented people ruins the show because the cast is incomplete without them. They ARE Sara Sidle and Nick Stokes, and the show would lose two of its best characters if they are gone.
Please bring back Jorja Fox and George Eads to CSI. The spinoffs are not as good as the original CSI program, and ratings WILL drop if these characters are written out of the program.
I doubt anything I am going to say will make you bring them back. Anyway I just think that you are a monster Moonves! How could you do it to the lovely Jorja Fox? You were to harsh! Now that you have made the biggest mistake ever, you still don't have the balls to say you were wrong! Now you think that you can just bring in anyone to replace them. Oh I'm sorry do the CSI fans have MUG written over their heads, I THINK NOT! All you have done is think about yourself and not the viewers, the ratings and certainly not the actors! I hope you get run over with a big ugly bus, and it reverses back on to you. You evil little ugly man!

they cant get rid of sara or greg because the cliffhanger with sara driving whilst drinking and nick got recently promoted and greg, archie (the one who was in power rangers Lost Galaxy) and nick make a good (and funny team)i'm a U.K viewer

If you fire Jorja and George this show is going to go down the crapper. Tons of fans will stop watching because george is like the hottest guy on the show.
No Jorja? Well I guess I'll have to find something else to do with my time now. If she doesn't come back then I don't want to watch the show anymore. All the cast make the show, and bringing in another 2 actors won't work.
I am greatly disappointed that Jorja and George were fired over something so petty.
I think CBS can pay them what they are asking and I personaly will boycott the show.
The show has a HUGE following and have come to love all the characters, removing them from the show will make the ratings drop severely.
Hopefully, someone with some common sense will see the mistake and correct it! Otherwise this is one viewer who will never watch the show again.
EVERYONE ON THE SHOW MAKES THE SHOW WHAT IT IS, TAKE ANY OF THEM AWAY AND THE SHOW IS NOT COMPLETE. ESPECIALLY THE HIDDEN LOVE BETWEEN JORJA FOX AND GRISSOM.
