CSI has a great cast, the best ever seen...why ruin something so good?? Eads and Fox are parts of that cast...don't ruin it...it would be a BIG, BIG MISTAKE...WE WANT THEM BACK!!!
Firing George Eads and Jorja Fox is a mistake. What makes CSI (Vegas)work is the dynamics of the the core cast (which Mr Eads and Ms Fox are very much a part of). Changing those dynamics now in Season 5 (when reality shows are kicking dramatic series butt) makes no sense what so ever. Proof of this would be the fact that the show is still number one (even with spinoffs like CSI Miami (which doesn't have the same dynamics) and all the other copy cat shows). While I understand the need to make a stand of sorts, my suggestion and hope is to please rethink the situation and bring these talented actors back. Push past the ego and let cooler heads prevail.
IT'S INCONCEIVABLE that the show will survive without Fox and Eads. CBS had the best and most popular show on TV, and then decided to get cheap about it. Stupid move. Please hire them back!
Contradicting Bastard's of Stupidity. That's what CBS stands for! I can't believe they wanted to set an example using Jorja and George as the fall guys! If CBS wanted to prevent something before it started, then the Everybody Loves Raymond cast should have felt this brunt. I also feel that alot of Les Moonves' comments in defending this decision are a direct slap in the face to us as viewers. For we tuned in everyweek to watch these awesome actors bring this show to life. And anyone thinking that the writers and producers make the show what it is and these actors are easibly replaceable has a delusional mind. These five actors have a chemistry that is very unique and irreplaceable. Even through any writers words or producers re-casts the show will never be the same. With that in mind I wonder what is on NBC on Thursday nights at 9!
What is CBS thinking in sacking two of it's brightest stars. Grissom is my fav but I still don't condone the sacking of Jorja and George, they truly deserve a second chance.
I'm listening to CSI all the way back from Quebec, and that show has shown me my vocation(yes, I'm a futur CSI!), it needs its two very good actor. Jorja is my role model(well, Sara is), and watching CSI without her, or George, will never be the same!
THATS A BUNCH OF SHIT!!!!! THEY ARE A COUPLE OF THE ONLY TWO THAT MAKE CSI, CSI. YOU FIRE THEM THE SHOWS GOING TO "FLOP". PEOPLE ARE GOING TO RIOT, BECAOUSE OF IT. I PERSONALLY WATCH THE SHOW BECOUASE OF THEM. THEY IMSPIER ME TO FOLLOW MY DREAM OF BEING A CRIME SCENE INVESTAGATOR. I JUST HAVE TO SAY ITS A BUNCH OF CRAP THAT U "CBS" POEPLE ARE DOING THIS.
i am so depressed... the show needs a hope of a sara/nick relation ship! they also need sara's depressingness and nick's "playboy" reputation that livelies up the csi gossip
please bring them back
Just wanted to say that I was totally shocked to hear of CBS's decision to fire Jorja and George. Have they been taking lessons from Joss Whedon as Asshats United or something? CSI won't be the same without them... It's safe to say I won't be watching next year if they go...
no way. CSI without Nick and Sara will be like X-Files was without the Mulder and Scully partnership - missing crucial components that made the show what it was. This cannot happen to CSI as well.
We all love Jorge as Sara, and George as Nick on CSI. They have really created amazing characters on the show and can't imagine it with out them. Please work out what ever the "Particulars" are. The show just wouldn't be the same with out them. Amy
I would very much like the directors/producers to reconsider their decision to allow either of these actors to leave the show. Perhaps a compromise can be worked out as I feel it will change the structure and relationship among the rest of the cast. At leaset bring George back for sure as Jorja was starting to loose interest and it may be difficult to continue with that character unless her personality changed.
Have you never made a decision that seemed to be a sound choice at the time, but turned out to be one of the worse things you could have done? Have you never made a mistake and errored in judgement? I, for one, have done just this and I suspect the powers that be at CBS have done the same. Not one of us is perfect. Not one of us has ever gone through life without making a major gaffe from time to time. When a person makes a mistake, they need forgiveness and understanding as long as they are contrite and have learned from what they have done. It even says in the Bible "Let he who is without sin be the first to cast a stone." I suspect George and Jorja have both learned a valuable lesson from this and in the future will put more thought into asking for a raise in pay. This show is about ALL the characters and how they interact with each other as they put the pieces of a forensic puzzle together. It's got chemistry and everybody likes everyone else. Without George and Jorja, the show won't be the same and will be very difficult to watch. Bringing in one character this late into the show would be difficult enough, but bringing in two and making it a successful transition may prove to be next door to impossible. Please, Mr. Moonves, give this some thought. I can understand your frustration and your wanting to sent a message, but can't you look into your heart and remember times when you were forgiven after making a mistake and can't you please do the same for George and Jorja?
CBS, this really is shooting yourself in the foot. Jorja and George may not be the leads, but they help make CSI what it is - the top rated show in the US! They are not expendible, without them the show will lose so much of the chemistry which has made it so popular up until now. Bring back Jorja and George and save your ratings!
All I can say is that it's pretty stupid that they would fire two of the key characters - no doubt a lot of people will be upset; myself being one of them. CSI won't be the same, especially since William Peterson is also quitting the series. Let's hope the makers of CSI come to their senses and sort things out.
WTF was my first thought. Why the hell fire two of the three best characters from the original show??? These two are among CSI's finest. I can honestly say that I won't watch season 5 now. CBS execs suck.
Please CBS don't do this. CSI was good because of the cast as a whole! Taking away 2 of them will ruin everything. You have definately lost one devoted fan. Way to go...(I hope the ratings drop to show you how stupid that was.)
Disposing of two characters who have been with CSI since the beginning is pretty hard - there would be a lot of rewriting to do to get rid of their characters properly. What about the repercussions on the show? How will their storylines be wrapped up? In addition, getting rid of two characters would mean other characters get more screen time. While that might be nice, it eventually equals a raise for everyone else.
Besides, all the original CSI characters have very good chemistry with each other - why mess with a good thing? Either way, best of luck with CSI in the future.
I'm from Sweden and I speak for a lot of people when I say that this is not right!! CSI is one of my favourite tv-shows and although it's a bit delayed over here, it's still a lot of people who watch it. Hopefully someone will recognise all the effords that have been made to help Jorja and George and I'm very proud to sign this petition.
I was really upset when I found out they were fired. Yea, CBS, it takes more money to give 2 MAIN CHARACTERS a raise than 2 spin-offs. Not to mention the upcoming CSI: Miami First Season is coming out on DVD. Yea, THAT won't get any money.
Dear CBS, YOU ALL SUCK! YOU AND YOU NETWORK! GO TO HELL! BRING THEM BACK YOU MORONS! I WILL NEVER WATCH THE SHOW EVER AGAIN BECAUSE THEY MAKE THE SHOW WHAT IT IS! SO IF YOU LIKE BEING MORONS, GO AND DO IT! BUT SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR #1 SHOW! THIS HOLE THING IS BS! BRING THEM BACK!
This is soooooo wrong they bring chemistery. Ican't believe CBS did this. So they asked for more money they could still have talked it out with them and reached an agreement. What *******s. They have no idea what they've done.
These two are a huge part of the show, and getting rid of them would only make CSI worse. I would stop watching the show if you didn't bring them back, so PLEASE do so!!
I am wondering how you could break the very obvious chemistry of a show’s cast by making such an incredibly rash decision? You have spent a few seasons perfecting the cast, developing the characters and blending them together so they gel on and off screen, as proven in your countless Emmy nominations for “Best Ensemble”, “Best Drama”… not individual character. This decision will change the show resulting in a very negative reaction from the show’s fans (you know, those of us that watch so that your show continues to be atop of the ratings!!!)…. BAD DESCION!!… Good luck trying to develop your new characters, they’ll constantly be compared and will never live up to the original characters the fans grew to love… they never do. If you need to find something better to do with your time then work on re-developing CSI New York, the cast is less than stellar so far….
The loss of just one of these characters will drastically change the show for the worst. Losing both could possibly be what ends up killing it. Prove that you're not idiots and keep them around, no .matter the cost
It's a big mistake to fire these two. They're the best kids on the show, not just according to me but to most of the CSI fanbase. Sorry, but you're gonna be hating yourself in the morning for this one, CBS.
