What made this show stand out to me over miami was the cast, and the chemistry between them. While I rarely watched miami, I watched this one every week. Without the full cast I've grown attached to, I will lose the interest I had in the show, and will no longer watch it regularly. Two major cast members gone after four years is just too much, and simply replacing them with new characters, no matter how interesting they may be, will never be the same to me. It is a very poor decision to cut them, and will undoubtably result in a large number of upset viewers and a drop in the ratings. We need the entire ensemble, and without their chemisrty, you will lose the formula that has made this a number one show. If it's not broken, don't fix it, especially for a reason like salary. Here's hoping this whole thing is worked out, and that these two actors are back on the cast soon. Otherwise, I'm through with it.
This is a terrible mistake on the part of the studio. These two are the very heart of the show! RENEGOTIATE... It's not like the show isn't making billions of dollars for everyone!!!
CSI is an ensemble cast and Jorja Fox and George Eads are an integral part of that ensemble. They, along with William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert David Hall, Eric Szmanda and the rest of the incredible cast have made CSI what it is...the No. 1 rated show in the U.S. Without Jorja and George, CSI will NOT be the same CSI that put CBS on top of the ratings chart.
It's the 5 main actors & actresses that have made the show from the beginning, break them up and you ruin the show, then no-one will watch it. Please reconsider firing them.
I'm outraged at the firing of George Eads and Jorja Fox from CSI. George Eads and Marg Helgenberger were the reasons I got hooked on CSI and I've also been a fan of Jorja Fox for a long time and do not want to see her off the show. What happened to write ups and written warnings? Followed by the word NO for a pay increase first, as opposed to just up and firing the stars of the #1 TV series on Television? Repremand for not showing up yes, but pack your bags we don't need you?? This is not making fans happy across the boards at all. I know William and Marg have complained about the spin-offs and I think they are right to. CSI was only in season 3 when Miami started compared to the 9 seasons L&O had before SVU showed up. Miami is a horrible show already but as a fan of Gary Sinise I was thinking of watching CSI: New York next fall for a bit. That's out of the question now. I won't be watching any CSI and possibly anything on CBS(primetime or daytime) anymore, if George and Jorja are not brought back to show.

What the hell are they doing. They can't just fire them and hope everyone will just shrug and keep watching and buying the DVDs, videos, games and even crappy trading cards. I am certainly going to stop watching CSI if they think we are that impressionable
CSI became the hit it is because of the talented cast. If the powers that be do not recognize that then I pity them. It is a sad day for fans of CSI everywhere with the departure of George Eads and Jorja Fox. I sincerely hope that CBS will reconsider and bring them back otherwise, I and many others will stop watching the show altogether and will actively boycott CBS as a whole.
What idiocy!! Just goes to show what a moron Mooves really is - first he takes a hit show and spins it off 2X THEN starts killing off the original characters. I'll stop watching...and I mean EVERYTHING CBS, not just CSI!!!
The departure of George and Jorja spells the demise of the entire show. You cannot remove 1/3 of the regular cast of an ensemble show and expect it to do well. Great timing, just as they've been nominated for Best Drama. You'd think that the number one show on TV could afford to at least negotiate for a while before firing two of it's best performers. The show has lost a fan and CBS has lost a viewer if something isn't done to return these two to the show.

CSI has been my favourite show for the last 4 years. I have watched it every week and been a loyal fan. The show has now lost my viewership, and likely that of my whole household. Two integral characters cannot just be fired. I hope CBS realizes what a mistake they made.

I am at a loss for words. I've been a supporter of CSI from the very first episode and Nick has been my favorite character. I can understand that he showed up late, but that doesn't mean he should be fired. I think you and your network are making a mistake.
Bring 'em back. Where do you think all that success came from? stories AND CAST. Every time a character's been replaced by another actor, the show has tanked. Don't let CSI go down the drain. Bring George and Jorja back!

George is magnetic. His role really made the difference with the show. The episodes without him were flat. He's been an episode stealer in every TV show he's appeared in. None of the other CSI shows have any ensemble member who was as dynamic.
Now my Thursday's are free. I'll be surprised if Eads doesn't quickly wind up in features or headlining another TV series. Just an incredibly appealing persona.

Please do not let them go. From all my years of watching television, I think that CSI has the best cast. The actors complimented each other perfectly and seem to have worked together all their lives. I have never seen another show to have such a cast that is so genuine and creates a feel of content.
How much of an egotistical move is this by CBS? This is the biggest show on tv and they got fired because they wanted a well deserved raise? The CBS execs are petty and insane!!! Please bring them back!!!
the current cast is what keeps me watching. My friends and I love CSI. We have the first three seasons on DVD and we have marathons to watch them! This show is at the top of the charts and after this huge mistake, the ratings are going to drop a lot. The end of season four involved both of them. The CSI cast is like a big family and the show will not be the great show it once was without Jorja and George.
No other cast on TV has such chemistry as CSI. Break up that core group and you've lost your spark, and most definitely, your audience. Please bring Jorja and George back! (Oh and this is probably a bad time to mention it but... You ruined the show when you spotlighted Marg. Perhaps this is the root of the problem you're faced with now. The ensemble cast worked so well for you.)
As much as the science of CSI draws me, the chemistry of the cast is what makes it so watchable. CSI: Miami isn't as good because the actors don't have the same working relationship and on -screen chemistry as those of Vegas. Please keep George and Jorja!
