If you ever have to ride the busses here in Surrey, British Columbia, you will know what it's like to wait hours for a bus, and then wait another hour for another bus because just as you get to where you have to connect with another bus, the other bus has left.

There is no evening bus service on most routs, and no service on Sundays or hollidays except on a few major streets like King George Hwy, Scott Road and maybe a few other streets.

The streets would be safer from drunk drivers at night if there were busses in the evening.

If you don't have a car or someone to pick you up, don't even bother getting a job because you can't ride the bus home in the evenings or weekends. Some busses don't even run after 4:00pm. Some routs have busses running through industrial areas which don't even start their first run until 10:00am and finish at 4:00pm, while people are working from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Living in Surrey is like being grounded because you can't go anywhere and not expect to be stranded in the middle of nowhere.

What really ticks me off is a few time the bus never came on schedule, and when I called to find out what was going on, they tell me they canceled the run because the fare machine was broken. Couldn't they have gotten another bus?

(This is not intended to badmouth the drivers. Most drivers are cool people with the occasional, rare exception.)
