We as Royals fans think that DH Mike Sweeney should be waived by the team so he can continue his last year on his contract with another team. This would save the team millions of dollars and would allow young prospects to get playing time they need to develop.

Mike is currently hitting below .200 (.152 to be exact) and is not performing up to his contract. We believe that he would be useful to another team and feel that by waiving him the Royals could save money that could be used in future seasons.
