Report Petition

We the undersigned believe that Ted Allen,

- food and wine specialist on the Emmy Award winning NBC/Bravo hit "Queer, Eye”

- author of several wonderful books

- spokesman for Robert Mondavi Private Selection wines

- contributing editor to Esquire magazine

should be named Bravo’s Top Chef Season 3 mentor. Ted Allen is not only a specialist in this field, he is articulate, intellectual, and would be both amusing and helpful.

183 20 Mar 2007 - 22:42    Kathryn Farrell : I think Ted Allen would be amazing as a mentor on Top Chef. I think his presence in the kitchen would lend itself to a little less snark and a little more class.

181 22 Feb 2007 - 8:23    E Alden : The sense of humor and innate grace and style of Ted Allen would make season 3 watchable

178 14 Feb 2007 - 23:18    Nicole : Ted Allen gives great, constructive critique in a professional way. I will definitely watch Season 3 of "Top Chef" if he is involved.
177 13 Feb 2007 - 0:52    Natalie : I believe that after the "group think" situation that Betty, Ilan and Sam pulled the entire group into. This show definitely needs a Mentor to help the contestants stay on track about the food.
176 11 Feb 2007 - 17:30    bwana : While I am unsure the pace of cooking lends itself well to a Tim Gunn presence, Ted Allen's inclusion in some capacity has always enhanced the show in the past. He would be a great asset as a permanent presence.
175 6 Feb 2007 - 5:46    Diana : PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
174 5 Feb 2007 - 10:24    Seguin W. : We could use a little class next season, after screeching Betty, stalker Ilan, and the Clipper Clique.
173 3 Feb 2007 - 16:24    Peter : If Ted were willing, his personality and demeanor would bring back the public respect of the show that was somewhat lost as a result of TC2.
172 2 Feb 2007 - 8:19    Paul George : The show's already great; Ted would make it FAB!
171 2 Feb 2007 - 7:51    SharonM : Yes, please!
170 31 Jan 2007 - 22:23    WJG : I know Bravo's against having a mentor, but Ted would elevate this show back to where it needs to be. He's the only one who could get me to watch S3 at this point.
169 30 Jan 2007 - 18:05    Sandra : Fair, decent, kind, perfect!
168 29 Jan 2007 - 7:50    Lisa : The show would be better if they had a mentor figure who could challenge them, offer advice, and expect professional kitchen behavior.
167 29 Jan 2007 - 7:32    Lindsey : Yes, he would make the perfect mentor!
166 27 Jan 2007 - 2:47    Patty Holton : AMEN - Fair, and succinct and honest
165 26 Jan 2007 - 12:18    Michelle L. : I'm always interested to hear Ted's opinion of the food that the chefs cook. He should be on every episode of Top Chef!
164 26 Jan 2007 - 5:07    Iman J. : I think Ted should replace Padma.
163 25 Jan 2007 - 18:43    Pam Rosenberg : Ted would give the show greater cohesiveness and be a better link between the foodie world and the average viewer - both as a mentor and a judge.
162 25 Jan 2007 - 18:36    Jennifer L. : With all the ugliness and over the top behavior, TC needs to change SOMETHING before next season. TA would be that perfect change...I love his demeanor and insight!
161 25 Jan 2007 - 11:23    Kat : Yes! I miss the honesty, decency, and wit that PR has with their mentor and Ted Allen would definitely bring it for TC.
160 25 Jan 2007 - 11:12    Tad : oh god yes, please put ted on this show! something needs to save this sinking ship of a show, and it certainly isn't going to be padma and her outfits... jokes aside, i really think ted would be a fabulous addition to this show.
159 24 Jan 2007 - 6:35    Elise : Ted has the best crabcake recipe and I make it every year since I learned about it. Make him the mentor for TC3!
158 21 Jan 2007 - 6:10    Janet Lemon : He'd be awesome!
157 21 Jan 2007 - 1:11    Jill : He'd be great!
156 20 Jan 2007 - 0:52    Julie : Love him! He would be a smart addition to this show!
155 20 Jan 2007 - 0:00    jandazza : I'd have him replace Padma. I don't hate Padma but I'd love to see him at the judges' table. Short of that, the mentor/Tim Allen thing is a good idea . Top Chef is turning into a train wreck. They need Tim Allen's wit, charm, intelligence and class. Why is he gay?!!?
154 19 Jan 2007 - 1:14    janeyek : I believe with Ted's guidance, this "Lord of the Flies" mentality, lackadaisical cooking, shoddy technique and diva style drama could be avoided and we could have a real Top Chef cooking show again!
153 18 Jan 2007 - 4:56    Michelle : Ted can speak clearly...unlike Padma...bring it!
152 18 Jan 2007 - 4:22    Jerilyn Burgess : I think Ted should replace Tom Colicchio.
151 18 Jan 2007 - 4:03    donna : Yes! A thousand times, Yes!
150 18 Jan 2007 - 3:10    Emily G : Yes! Ted as TC's Tim Gunn - genius.
149 18 Jan 2007 - 1:10    Jenny : Yes, please!
148 17 Jan 2007 - 15:02    LaDonna : I would love to see Ted involved more in this show, in any capacity.
147 16 Jan 2007 - 4:41    Debbie : I want Ted to be a Judge with Tom & Gail, not to replace Padma. I bought yout book, Ted, so please consider...
146 15 Jan 2007 - 6:43    Jane J : Yes Yes Yes!!! Excellent idea.
145 15 Jan 2007 - 6:19    Patrick L : Great idea! Ted is so quick witted, bright, and talented. He would be a wonderful addition to the show, if he has the desire to do it.
144 15 Jan 2007 - 5:09    Irene : Ted Allen would judge a one-legged potato sack race with dignity, integrity, a good sens of humor, and respect for the contestants.
143 14 Jan 2007 - 9:05    Andrea G : Good God, you need someone in the kitchen to keep the wackiness in order, it ought to be someone watchable.
142 14 Jan 2007 - 8:37    Samantha : I absolutely adore Ted. He is fair, witty, interesting and really, really cute.
141 14 Jan 2007 - 3:27    Bonita Vaughn : TC needs Ted, he's the best!
140 14 Jan 2007 - 0:13    Mark : TC needs its own Tim Gunn feeding back to the chefs. It would raise the overall quality of the food.
139 13 Jan 2007 - 17:11    Tamika : I think this is a good and entertaining idea
138 13 Jan 2007 - 10:28    Emily :
137 12 Jan 2007 - 12:17    Katy : I would be extremely excited to read a weekly Ted's Take
136 12 Jan 2007 - 9:15    rockafilly :
135 12 Jan 2007 - 7:31    nancy w : Ted Allen clearly knows food, he knows entertaining, and he's HILARIOUS. What I really love about him, though, is that he doesn't mince words, yet he doesn't come off as a hostile, condescending wanker (like some guest judges with bad haircuts who shall remain nameless). Personally, I'd love to see Ted replace Padma (her bad Marilyn Monroe impressions are almost as grating as Katie Joel's monotone.)
134 12 Jan 2007 - 6:09    Tara O'Donnell : Ted has been the best guest judge so far this season and the way things are going on the show,TC3 will need him as their Tim Gunn badly!
