As a mother who homeschools three kids and relies on ebay to buy this type of material I feel like this is unjust and really ridiculous. I don't think there are may kids scoping ebay to buy manuals to cheat.
This is unfair to the parents that sale or buy their homeschool material every year. For some of us this is the best way. Especially if we have 2 or more children. Please reconsider your policy.. Think of the children.. Our school systems are failing them, their parents are only trying to give them the education they deserve..
Thank you,

I support this petition. Not only do homescholers rely on these materials but there were severaltimes in college that the only way I was going to pass a class was to teach it to myself. In the Math and Physic classes are often offered 1 time a year 1 class 1 semester by 1 teacher who can not teach or speak english. I was set back 2 years becuase of this, then I decided to start teaching myself.
I am infuriated at the prejudice against homeschoolers who are the best educated all around in America! God help you liberals whom we homeschoolers and homeschooler grandparents pay taxes for your schools and you would dare try to prevent our buying and selling of the materials we need!
Homeschoolers need teachers manuals, if a child is going to cheat, he is going to cheat. He can buy TE from other textbook sources if not ebay. this is specifically targeting homeschoolers
The current policy is clearly biased in favor of those involved with institutional education and against home educators, who rely on ebay to purchase teacher's editions.
Teacher's editions are available for sale at Amazon.com and many other online retailers WITHOUT verification that the buyer is a teacher. If student abuse of the teacher's edition is common, the correct recourse is to approach the PUBLISHERS about changing the teacher's manual, NOT restricting the free exchange of product among consumers on eBay - unless or until the publishers institute a policy that they will only sell manuals to those who are confirmed to be teachers.
I believe your policy permits only those over 18 to purchase from you. It makes very little sense, therefore, to restrict the sales of teacher materials out of the supposed fear that students will cheat. There are few -- if any -- over 18 who need to purchase fifth grade teacher materials in order to cheat!
Please rescind this restriction.
