There is no need to penalize honest homeschoolers to prevent a few 'cheaters' If the students don't learn the material, it will be evident in class & on tests, and any teacher will be able to challenge the discrepancy
PLease change the policy concerning sale of teachers editions on Ebay. Ebay has been a great source in the past for home schooling parents to purchase their curriculum.
I am a homeschool mom. I have used eBay numerous times to purchase and sell COMPLETE homeschool cirriculum for my family, this includes the teacher manual. If unable to buy complete sets I will stop using eBay to buy cirriculum. I will also find another place to sell my cirriculum.
I feel this policy unfairly discriminates against the homeschool community. It makes no sense for us to buy partial sets on eBay and then have to pay retail and shipping elswhere to get the teacher manual.
Disappointedly Yours, Tammy O'Neal
E-bay will lose business for this! If someone wants to cheat they can buy the teachers' guides anywhere, or will find another way to do it, and you can't control that!
I support the petition. Why is Ebay becoming a judge in this particular area, when I see all kinds of questionable items that will harm others for sale that they allow???
This is an unfair and prejudicial policy. Homeschoolers rely on this. I live in texas and the state offers no relief for the purchase of materials the complete responsibility belongs to the parent. Therefore, eBay has provided years of homeschoolers trading to get these materials at many times affordable prices. Please amend or eliminate. Thank you
It's not reasonable to expect that homeschool parents will stop selling their curriculum. If this policy stays in place, we will just have to take our business somewhere else.
hs moms need a place to buy material. why not let it be your location. This is an asset to the hs community that you can give. Their is many families that serve our country that are abroad in other countries that benefit greatly from this asset.
We can sell all kinds up things that are a danger to our children but we can't sell books. I am shocked... I seriously hope you change this ban for all of us.I really thought more highly of E-bay but not now.
I am a homeschool parent that sells and purchases many of my homeschool items from ebay. If this ban is not lifted I will be forced to take my business elsewhere, which I do not want to do....I have a 250+ positive feedback rating and would like to increase it with homeschool purchases and sales. Thanks!
As a homeschooling mom of 6, re-selling curriculum is a critical part of our budget. Surely it is up to parents to be aware of what their children are doing, not eBay.
