If ebay wants to try to prevent immoral practices like cheating on schoolwork, perhaps they should instead be more concerned with ebayers selling pornographic material or goods stolen from the companies they work for!
The "ban" is ridiculous...I am a legitamate homeschooler and have a need to purchase my teacher's manual used. This ban NEEDS to be lifted!!! Thank you!
because it is our legal right to have freedom of choice and if there is other negative and blaspheming books on e-bay then we should at least be able to sell decent homeschooling ciriculum to homeschooling families.
Ebay is discriminating against homeschool families by this practice. I do not believe ebay is actually afraid that students are going to cheat by buying teacher manuals (minors aren't allowed to bid on ebay). I request that you end this discriminatory practice at once!
It is not eBay's job to police who buys what. They are merely a central auction venue for buyers and sellers. The job of policing and penalizing should be left up to the appropriate educational boards, officials, and/or legislation. We, the homeschoolers, do not deserve to be penalized for the possible actions of other irresponsible buyers.
Teacher's Editions are an essential part of the homeschool teaching experience and Ebay has previously been a critical provider of cost effective materials for homeschooling families, which are most frequently single income families. I urge Ebay to eliminate this damaging practice for the sake of the million+ homeschooling families who rely upon complete curriculum packages, including the use of teacher's editions.
