The aim of this petition is to gather signatures in support of bringing back rock n roll to the mainstream, prime-time radio, and to bring it into the shops a lot more.

And when I say rock n roll, I don't mean marylin manson or allis cooper - I mean REAL, 50's style rock n roll!!! Bands like Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers, Matchbox, Restless and all the other great rock n roll/rockabilly that are ripping up the modern day scene.

Their music is far too good to make up a 'minority' sector of the music industry; far, far too good. Just search for some Crazy Cavan tracks and you'll know what I mean!!

This stuff should be on the radio; the minute it is on Radio 1 I'm sure that drape jackets will replace hoodies and combat trousers will give way to drainpipes..... total rockabilly rebellion!!

Please help give true rock 'n' roll its name and place at the forfront back!!

I agree - I run both The King Creole and Roadrunner Clubs plus do a radio show and am fed up with the major record companies dciding what we should buy or hear on the radio - there are some brilliant teenage bands coming through or established that deserve the airplay.
