An estimated half-a-million trees get cut down to make the newspaper just for Sundays, this is around 2billion trees yearly. We don't only use trees for newspaper, we use it for cardboard, notebooks, tissue, furniture, Christmas trees and many other items. We need to lessen the amount of trees that get cut a year. Instead of throwing paper in the garbage, gather it together and mix it in with ur newspaper, magazines, cardboard, etc., and recycle paper. Our purpose is to get at least 50 or more signatures to help prevent the cutting of trees. Other ways you can help is by recycling paper in your neighborhood, doing donations to tree saving organizations, or use alternatives for Christmas trees like artificial trees.
