Paparazzi are out of control. Most of them are criminals, with violent backgrounds. The more aggressive they are the more likely that they will be hired.

Many of them are ex gang members, registered sex offenders, people that have been arrest and convicted of assault and/or attempted murder.

But they are still allowed to "stalk" celebrities. They put them in serious danger. Its more than just the fact that they have criminal backgrounds, they are allowed to chase celebrities in cars, hide in trees and bushes just to take a picture. They spy through windows and sometimes even go onto private property just to get a picture.

Making paparazzi get credentialed will at least keep the violent away. All press other than the paparazzi have to be credentialed because entertainment is exempt from this. To become credentialed they would have to pass a background check, be finger printed and all. Which makes it so they can be held accountable for their actions. Paparazzi now don't even have to use a real name.

Since they are not only around celebrities they are around the celebrities children and families, and also "normal" people, there should be some insurance that they are not dangerous. They have caused celebrities to get into car accidents with innocent bystanders and pushed children to get pictures.

A change needs to be made. Yes I know there is freedom of the press but if all other press has to be credentialed why not make the paparazzi do the same?
