This Petition has been created in an attempt to support the Restoration of The Belasco Theater (L.A. Historic Cultural Monument 476) located at 1050 South Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The Belasco Theater was built by architects Morgan, Walls and Clement; who built many of the historical Los Angeles building you see today.

On November 11, 1926 Belasco Theater opened as a legitimate playhouse. Since then, it has been used as a community church and as a location shoot for many movies and TV shows. The newly restored Belasco Theater will be Downtown Los Angeles’ next premier destination. Showcasing it’s ability to be used for a wide range of events from theatrical productions, live performances/concerts, special events, corporate receptions, and the BELASCO Nightclub/Bar/Lounge. In addition to events, Belasco will also offer indoor and outdoor dining. With most of it’s original architecture and design, the 40,000+ square foot space encompasses it’s pure elegance and beauty.

The Belasco will be an asset to many people and businesses in the Los Angeles area. It is going to be a downtown hotspot for entertainment and business opportunities. Furthermore, we feel that the Belasco Project will help provide economic prosperity and cultural growth.

Los Angeles needs these great building to shine inside and out. We want the Belasco to be available to the public who support our efforts. Please help honor the Belasco as we all can make history once again.
