The Faces were the ultimate good time rock band, they were original and always great live. I saw them so many times that a paragraph was written about me in John Pidgeon's book on them!! They deserve to be remembered in the HoF.
i am only 18 years old but have loved the faces since my father used to play me maggie may when i was young, they where simpily amazing, such energy that has never been seen before or will ever be seen again, they might have not be as talented and legendery as bands such as Led Zeppelin but they had somthing else, somthing you cant descirbe but if you listed to there music even throiugh the shody recordings you can here it and for that they deseve this.
The Faces should have been in the hall of fame years ago. They're one of the ultimate rock and roll rhythm and booze bands. They could lay the groove down better than any band of that era. When it comes to feel good rock and roll band, they're right up there with the Stones.
The Faces were a bridge between the established music business and the spirit of the street. In fact The Faces not only heralded they pre-empted the punk movement. It would therefore be difficult to find a musician of that 1976/77 punk generation who would not have been influenced by The Faces - Gary Guitar Lammin September 2007.
I wholeheartedly believe that the impact that The Faces had on music and a world of musicians is being under-recognized. The DO deserve, and NEED to be in the hall of fame!
