I totally agree.I loved the georgia satellites, and the black crows to name a few.than I found out that there was a band that was the first, pave the way so to speak.then you deserve it ....madonna? or whatever name i here sometimes?I'm gonna cry a bit now, and hope they do the right thing. The Faces deserve it.
The Small Faces, The Faces, Ronnie Lane, Steve Marriott, Ian MacLagan, Ron Wood, Rod Stewart, Kenny jones created some of the most exciting and soulful rock and roll of ALL time. There are very few moments that can top the best of the Faces. I support their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I was lucky enough to see these guys live many times, a great British band who deserve greater accolades than they have to date.True talent never fades.
I played with Ronnie Lane here in Austin, Texas and listened to The Faces music growing up in New Mexico.
Faces left a huge impression on me as a teen and then the great friendship I had with Ronnie during his Austin
years. Faces induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a long time coming!
If it weren't for the Faces, there wouldn't be bands like The Black Crows or The White Stripes, and they continue to influence Rock n Roll
The Faces were one of the very best of their era. All of the members contributions to music after the band broke up tells you how talented they all were.
It is beyond reason, why The Faces are still behind the curtain. This should have been done before the world lost Ronnie. It's a no brainer.
