however, for the love of humnaity. this is thesims2, and it should not be a thesims1 clone.
bring us pets, who are living creatures in relation to the sims instead of sprites that move around, eat, pee, and poop.
please bring back the basketball hoops, which ability for sims to acutally play with two hoops, for points and bragging rights.
please bring back the fountains, as the ones in game are soap prank ridden.
and the grand piano, for those sims with style.
let thesims2 be thesims2, but there are things that should be in it, things that seem quite simple because they are things we take for granted, but are apart of the frabric of our society.
I support this petition. However. I want everything we don't have from the sims 1 and all it's expansions and such. Families, NPCs items, etc. However I want them done in sims 2 style like for pets don't leave them without being able to select interactions for them especially pet to pet interactions. Also I'd hope it'd make a few of the decorative items in the sims 2 be useful like the downtown decorative buildings, and the various farm plots in the towns as well that are decorative.
I support this petition, but the list of items I want back is enough to fill several EPs. I'd really love to be able to buy Bonus Packs with each of the furniture styles from TS1 in them, though. And a Booster Pack with the original game characters [the Newbies, etc.] would also be cool.

I support this petition. There are multiple items and house layouts that I miss from the Sims 1. I'm thinking of reinstalling the Sims 1 and taking note of some of the better houses and remaking them in The Sims 2.
