Oh Sonic fandom, where did we go wrong? At what point did you stop becoming a bunch of fans who all happily got along, sharing fanart, fanfiction, making friends with people despite which continuity you were into, or what characters you liked?

At what point did you turn into a magnet, attracting the absolute worst of the internet, from immature little kids, to pedophile furry perverts? At what point did all fanart drawn become absolute fangirlism and kill art? At what point did all fanfiction written become terrible romances bashing the characters the writer didn't like?

At what point did every fancharacter created become a crappy recolour, who runs faster than Sonic, is stronger than Knuckles, and had more sex appeal than all the characters in the series combined?

At what point did your characters start having sex appeal in the first place?

I'm very sorry to speak against you like this, my beloved fandom, but I'm afraid this has gone on for far too long. I can no longer tolerate it as every new character is welcomed with open arms and showered praise upon, while older characters are bashed and told off as being unofficial. I can no longer tolerate older fans clinging desperately to older series and characters, putting down anything new that comes along. I can no longer tolerate the endless amount of terrible porn scarring my mind and childhood memories every time I look through Sonic fanart...anywhere.

Please, Sonic fandom. Why do you do this? Why must we all suffer so? We just want to enjoy Sonic in peace! We don't want anymore endless debates over whether Sonic or Shadow is cooler, or whether the Games are the only official storyline. We want to be able to draw and write about characters and continuities we like, without being ridiculed by those who have decided they dislike them. We want to be able to create a fancharacter, without being accused of ripping off another persons, as well as enjoy other people's original character designs, without being let down with another terrible recolour.

Again, my fandom, I'm sorry.
