Dear Jagex,

I started Runescape a while ago and as it was my first RPG of any kind I was hopelessly hooked on it. The result of this was a lvl 87 character (Name is one word: Timeformime). The result of many hundreds of hours of playing this little java game. Then I got hacked in the latter part of '05. Look me up, I am a member playing now and I can't talk.

Now Jagex, you are a wonderful company. You have taken the Java interface and made a sprawling and engaging RPG that unabashedly gives the players as much of what they want. They spend many hours getting skills up, and they are rewarded handsomely for efforts if they stick with them. This is why I started, kept with, and still want to play this game even after as long a hiatus as two years.

I also want to say to anyone in the Jagex account appeal center, you are doing your job very well and should get a raise or a day off or something. This was the ONLY way I could have ever gotten my account back after ~5 appeals, one after the other, to recover my account from its hacker. But really. Penalize me for the offenses of my hacker? I log on overjoyed to my aging RS account after 2 years of an absence and a minute later try to type something. "You have been permanently muted due to breaking a rule" is all I get in my chat box. This is the only flaw in the process. You guys know there's no point in doing this, but you don't have a system as yet of discarding ALREADY APPEALED (by the hacker, naturally) offenses.

I am a very courteous person ingame. I have long since stopped bothering to use profanity that would be filtered, and I certainly don't try to bypass the filter. I have never even been warned when playing. I sure don't use any bots or keyloggers or anything else. Because of this my appeal is very simple. I didn't do any of these things I was accused of, and I want to be playing this game as it's meant to be played. By talking to other players!

Please consider this appeal seriously. I got from lvl 87 to 90 muted. That's how much I like this game. Now take the next step of my account reclaiming and please just press that unmute button! (or whatever you mods can do! =P).
