Obviously, we are in dire need of Divine guidance. Time to go for us Filipinos and prepare ourselves for the coming Holy Week, the best time to avail ourselves the power of prayers to ask God’s blessing and guidance.
I always believe that we, Filipinos, are nation builders not destroyers. Filipinos, regardless of political and religious beliefs, are all stakeholders of peace. We must, therefore, support and encourage all peace efforts and initiatives.
During this trying time, we need a special kind of petition, a reverent petition made to God. Prayer is the act of making a reverent petition to God. It is an act of communion with God. I strongly believe that Filipinos who pray together stay together. We need to pray together for our country during the Holy Week.
Thanks to computers, satellites, cell phones and other high tech gadgets, we can communicate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week worldwide as if we are all next door neighbors. Distance is no longer a problem nowadays. Time is more of a problem than distance. There is so much to do with so little time and still we waste most of it to useless anxieties and arguments. My heart goes to the hundreds of our countrymen who are tragically buried hundreds of feet underground.
Distance is no longer the hindrance to our togetherness and peaceful existence but negativity and cynicism. Nothing is given by our God to separate us but our wickedness is giving it to us. Our weak faith in our God is the wall that separate us all and to Him.
Following what one of our colleagues had said, “We must draw inspiration from each other’s faith and dedication to whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and whatever is admirable.” It is anybody¹s choice. The freedom is given to us to build our own world and way of life. Some call it democracy while others call it communism. I support this petition. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her cohorts cannot alleviate our disappointment and despair over the conditions in our country that they, our supposed “leaders” have caused. We are not for the elites. This fight is for the poor and the economically disadvantaged. There is so much corruption in govt. transactions. We were there 5 1/2 months to know what life is really like. This govt. under GMA must go without delay - NOW. I agree to first 5 propositions here, esp.
