The Tomorrow Movies Petition

The Tomorrow series, written by John Marsden, has captured the hearts and minds of many teenage readers across the world. Over five years in the making, the series has had time to develop a well-known name in Australia and many other parts of the world. The seven-book long series is narrated by Ellie, a teenage girl, writing about her and her seven friend’s fight to survive when their country is invaded. Readers of the books will tell you how realistic and captivating they are and how they have affected the way they think about war.
The Tomorrow series enthralled Esben Storm, director and producer of one of Australia’s most loved children’s programs, Round the Twist. As soon as he finished the series, he wrote to John Marsden about the screen rights, and currently has the opportunity to turn the books into movies. Esben is currently looking for a movie company to fund a series of Tomorrow movies. This petition’s purpose is to gain as much support as possible. Perhaps, if we reach our goal of 1000 signatures, we’ll be able to take the petition to well-known companies such as New Line and Universal Studios, and give them the nudge they need to turn such brilliant books into movies.
