In the Summer, Top of the Pops is due to dissappear from BBC1 on a Friday to BBC2 on a Sunday. It is expected to take Top of the Pops 2 with it and leave Fearne Cotton behind! Top of the Pops is a great show as it is. It only lacks ratings because of Coronation Street. I think that if it was moved to a later time slot, Top of the Pops could be saved! It wouldnt have to merge with TOTP2 and it could stay on its traditional channel at its traditional time!

because I've been watching this programme since I can remember. They never should've moved it from Thursdays. It's an institution, for chrissake. How have they got it so wrong in the last year? There's an online music explosion and British music is the best it's been for some time. Consult someone who knows what they're talking about (not Andy Peters) and listen. Ride the storm BBC. i have been a regular viewer of totp and its spin offs since 1999. now its on a sunday, i cant stand the show. it dosent have the same feel. i dont want it to end coz it has potential but i think its true potential would be revealed back on a friday night!!

top of the pops. sunday. that is just as good a mix as curry and gravy. top of the pops and friday = good combination ie egg and bacon . . .

i always thought of totp as a great music show. but since the move to sundays, it has been awful.i say we bring it back on fridays!!!
