I've worked in food businesses, of all aspects, for years. With the Greater Portland sprawl growth, there won't be a better time to open a Trader Joe's.
I've worked in natural foods for years and the time is right for Maine -- get your distribution ducks in a row and get your slice of the sizable natural foods pie that even Whole Foods is cashing in on.
I miss Trader's Joe much. Everytime I go home to CA I bring a box full of goodies from TJ's. Please bring it to Portland, ME or maybe even Freeport, ME. There are loads of of people traveling to the outlets there and it will get lots of costumers.
Please, please, please, open a Trader Joes in Portland! I am from CA (as are many of my colleagues here) and we all travel all the way to Boston to stock up on Trader Joes, but of course, can't do that very often with our busy schedules.
It makes me sad that we don't have a TJ's around here. I mean...come on! We are rated in the top 10 for healthy cities, green cities, hot cities...what more do we have to do???
Just because people think Maine is part of Canada doesn't mean we should be the last state in the union to get the good stuff. Please send us Trader Joe's!
I have shopped (on a regular basis) at Trader Joes in DC. VA, CO and AZ. Now, living in Maine, we have to drive over two hours to get to one. I'd be there all the time and so would many of my firends, if one was located in Portland, ME - PLEASE!!!!
I have been emailing Trader Joe's for years pleading for a store in Portland, Maine. I drive to MA. often to shop at Trader Joe's and now with Wild Oats and Whole Foods in Portland Trader Joe's would be a great fit. Please, we need you!!
