This petition is to let the Los Angeles City Council and Mark Ridley-Thomas know that the King-Drew Medical Center needs to be opened with full medical services including a trauma center.

A trauma center in the community of Watts, California is something that would be beneficial. As of right now whenever anyone gets severely wounded they have to be taken to the closest medical facilities often dying because the closest facilities are too far away and they end up dying in their golden hour because they just couldn't get there fast enough.

Not only did the hospital save people but also gave jobs to people inside the community along with providing a medical education with training facilities.

Why should you care about this you might ask?

Because, although you might not live in the community of Watts you don't want to risk something like trauma services being taken away from your community.

And, even if you live in the best of places with the best healthcare everyone deserves a fighting chance to live and everyone deserves a chance to better themselves.

So, please sign this petition to let the Los Angeles City Council and Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas know that the trauma center along with it's additional services needs to return to Watts, California.

Not in the way that it was though but with the correct people to run the facilities in the way it should be run.
