Honestly, Half-Blood Price was hands down the worst of the series, and read like some type of grade D fanfiction written by an 8 year old. I'm sure there are many out there who agree with me, so let's hear you, ha ha.
So what's the one thing you find most amusing about JKR's sophomoric novels? Here's a couple of examples to get you started:
Snape as the villian and title character of Half-Blood Prince. Really, who didn't know these two facts before reading page one? The chapter entitled "Spinners End" showed us that Snape was undoubtedly evil, and it wasn't all that difficult to figure out Harry's old Potions textbook originally belonged to the bastard. So was anyone actually surprised when Snape ends up assassinating Dumbledore and then reveals to Harry that he was in fact the mysterious Half-Blood Prince?
Heh, didn't think so. The fact that JKR made her characters so stupid that they couldn't figure it out was inexcusable, as was the fact that Hermione and Ron couldn't see that Malfoy was up to no good, which should have been a given.

ANYONE who gets into a passion because of ships is crazy and obsessed. Personally I trust JKR to do what's best for Harry and the series. I do admit that I would have liked it if Harry/Hermione happened but Ron/Hermione is good too. BOYCOTTING(not banning) the books is just stupid, people. Harry accepts it, why can't you? Anyway romance is not the point of the series. The point is Harry's fight against Voldemort. If you want to squabble about romance, write fanfics to make the story the way YOU want it or I can direct you to several very good romances.
