What I like is how she constantly retreads her plotlines, rather than actually come up with new ideas for books.
Plotline 1: Harry hates the Dursleys, humiliates them, leaves.
Plotline 2: Harry boards the Hogwarts express, gets embarrassed somehow, gets in fight with Malfoy.
Plotline 3: Students get sorted at Feast. Dumbledore makes irrelevant speech.
Plotline 4: Harry gets threatened by Voldemort and one or more of his hencheman.
Plotline 5: Harry plays Quidditch, and wins the House Cup for Gryffindor.
Plotline 6: Harry, Ron, and Hermione solve a mystery that none of the adults are intelligent enough to figure out.
Plotline 7: Harry nearly dies, despite being under the supervision of the "greatest wizard alive."
Plotline 8: Ron and Hermione get in a fight.
Plotline 9: Harry falls in love with somebody.
Plotline 10: Harry goes back to live with the Dursleys
