I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter series and have read all the books, love 'em. I don't spend much time on the internet, and I certainly don't dwell on any of the book's relationships for very long. Now me, as a very neutral party... I gotta say that I find this concept, these arguments, the REASON for your being unhappy, take your pick... utterly and completely apalling. I find it hard to believe that a person, let alone a GROUP of people would consider trying to ban one of the most successful books around today simply because two certain characters in the plot don't get romantically involved. I can hardly believe going to that extreme is necessary. You forget that it's BECAUSE of this book series, and because of this woman's talent, that you've become so passionante for the characters in the books in the first place. If anything you should be giving this woman the utmost respect. What you're doing here is basically an open-palm slap to the face. That's what really bugs me here; if it makes you happy to squabble with each other endlessly over the relationships in these books then go right ahead. Just don't forget where that passion came from: THAT WOMAN gave it to you by creating the characters and their situations. I think it's disgusting you start blaming her for doing what she wants with her characters, instead of blaming yourself for being so blatently inconsiderate and idiotic. I'll smile as I read the seventh book when Joanne's done writing it, it'll be a fantastic finish to an excellently-written series, hopefully I and the rest of the planet will be able to block out the whining from complete morons like yourselves.
