It is also a possibility that Dumbledore was saying, "Please," as in please kill me. That way, Snape could remain spy. Dumbledore might have instucted him to kill him if in this situation.

But I have a theory as well... di you remember, James saved Snapes life and you already know the whole thing about owed life debt. What if Snape could not fullfill that and promised instead to get those life debt to.. erm, yes Harry maybe. Just a thought...
