#4579

Cheryl said 09/01/05, 12:16 am (verified)
Kuro - I don't remember the exact pages, but the Ron quote is when Hermione agrees to check Harry and Ron's homework, and Hermione's quote is right after either Quidditch practice or a quidditch match.

um, cho, i had no idea!!! france, right? (i think, otherwise i sound incredibly stupid) i think rupert really doesn't look the part, (wasn't ron supposed to be tall, thin, and w/ a LONG nose and a LONG face!) but the pictures in the GoF book and HBP make him look hot. but i have to say, Harry DOES look the best on the cover of OoP. i could just stare at him all day....

cheryl, i have to go w/ ww's list cuz it sounds pretty accurate. i only know #2 cuz i looked it up after seeing it *somewhere* and #3 is in HP. #4 sounds like it could be a kiss, but that's "snog" isn't it? of all british slang, "snog" is my fav, cuz it makes absolutely NO sense, and sounds so funny if you talk about kissing someone. but then again, "make out" doesn't really sound right either, does it?
#4547

Cheryl said 08/31/05, 11:48 pm (verified)
I think Emma looks stunning in the ball scene, and I can really see her with Rupert, but that's not why we know they're going to be together, it's because it's canon.

I really like how Rupert and Emma are looking together as Ron and Hermy. But as for the new GoF movie I have to admit I truly hate Ron's hairstyle. No way! ACK! My friend says it looks hot! How can it be? I always have to think about chickens if I see this hairstyle. I prefered the hair nhe had in PoA. No, I *loved* it that way!
#4544

Cheryl said 08/31/05, 11:44 pm (verified)
Oooh.. 3/5 not bad WW. hehe a chav is something you'll only ever find in Europe and they're kind of hard to describe.. They're another one of the stereotyped groups, and they wear sports clothes, do drugs nonstop, vandalise things, and stand on street corners threatening random people. They also wear far too much bling and murder the english language when they speak ;) A pecker is a chin, i.e. "Keep your pecker up". I don't normally say it though, it's a cockney phrase.
#4543

Ginevra said 08/31/05, 11:44 pm (verified)

I don't know what the names of the British accents are, but I can tell the difference. When I read HP to my little brother it's really difficult for me b/c I have to keep switching accents when I'm not even from England in the first place!

and aquamar, you're right. I kiss all my friends on the cheek all the time. They're girls. Does that make me a lesbian? No. Well, in snowy's logic it probably does.
#4536

Cho said 08/31/05, 11:39 pm (verified)
But Gin, I know that the movies may have a huge influence but if you read the books, you know Hermione is *not* Emma. Emma is cute and she's the perfect *outside* Hermione for me, but she's not Hermione. Nobody can be Hermione cause she's fictional! Look at poor Cho (me)! I am Cho and don't want to be it, ha ha!

Cho- I have a feeling that when these shippers think of Hermione, they visualise Emma Watson. Most of these H/Hr shippers are probably Emma/Dan shippers.

#4525

Cho said 08/31/05, 11:31 pm (verified)
Call me ignorant, but I have no clue and can't explain myself HOW all those Harmonians came to their ship. I mean, there is *really* no evidence or hint in the books to that relationship. There would be even more Sirius/Lupin hints than H/Hr hints. Wonder what's going on in the brains of those people... what a imagination!
#4524

Cheryl said 08/31/05, 11:30 pm (verified)
WW - scotland's nice, it has fantastic scenery depending on which area, the moutain views are GORGEOUS and it's where HP movies are filmed ;)

aquamar said 08/31/05, 11:30 pm (verified)
WW- english, please! i haven't actually started school yet. (thank goodness) but i just love the way the language sounds when it rolls off someones tongue. and cheryl, i don't even like dan's accent, it sounds too fake to be real. but i would go for an italian accent too. british ones just make me positively drool, though. and about taking french, oh. i didn't know that. but whatever, even if i go to france and people are stuck-up, i'll just start screaming english in their faces, i guess. wouldn't do much, but it would be kinda fun to see their expressions after screaming myself senseless. Cho, what's ASCCI and kanji and hiragana? if it's japanese, my dad would know cuz he speaks fluently, but as for me, i have postively no idea what ur talking about.

Bournemouth's good if you like looooooooooong golden beaches that are always packed the moment it's sunny hehehe. I think the best territory in the UK is England but only because there's more of it and there are about 200 different dialects. Blackpool's really good, they have the pleasure beach which is a massive fairground that never closes

Cheryl said 08/31/05, 11:25 pm (verified)
I don't ship anybody, but I know it's Ron and Hermione because I've READ THE BOOKS. lol. I've almost finished re-reading the whole series in the last 3 weeks and I found one single piece of Harmony evidence. At the end of GoF, Hermione kisses Harry on the cheek but doesn't kiss Ron. However (lol) she kisses Ron on the cheek in OotP and he looks like all of his dreams just came true at once

So many people think all British people have accents like Dan Radcliffe, but hardly any of us do, and most people hear a British accent and don't believe it's actually British. Personally, I have a soft spot for Italian men and Italian accents

yeah, i think Lord of the Flies is coming up soon sometime in my future. i'm a girl too. and for Europe, i was considering France (couldn't miss it, it was my #2 choice after London, and i'm taking French this year, much to the dismay of my mom, who wants me to take Spanish, cuz she doesn't want my years of learning a foreign language to go to waste. but i don't PLAN to waste it, i wanna travel so badly!), (and Spain) swizterland and New Zealand (if they're even in Europe) the entire UK, and Italy. I love foreign people so much that i want to marry a guy w/ a British, Austalian, or southern accent. and i always thought that snape was still loyal to the order....i don't know why, it just seemed wrong (besides the obvious reasons) for him to be working w/ Voldy-poo
