Since they started banning people (hey its just a game noob jagex if we can cheat it its not our mistake idiots) they never ever reached the peak of 180000+ players again and they never will peak there again. Runescape is now slowly dieing. And why? Because if you ban 50000 players these 50000 players will tell their friends that jagex is gay and noone should ever touch runescape. Well I played runescape for around a year and I reached lvl 100 Combat and over 70 Smithing in that short time (plus doing all quests) Then I met some cheaters in the game who told me how to cheat. I thought well yeah everyone is cheating I have to cheat too to stay alive because we all know runescape is about showing off how cool your virtual dude is. Well it was a big mistake, I was 70 Smithing without cheating anyways why did I start to cheat. Well I found out why, the whole game forced me to do so because as I said it's all about keeping up with the top players so you'd do pretty much everything for it. Well then in the end I got my account banned with 10m+ Cash and 10m+ in items. Afterwards I never ever touched runescape again and I never ever will do touch it anymore. I did a lot of mistakes starting to cheat. Jagex did the other mistake to just ban me and don't care. So we're both fine. I got enough time for my life and mates again and Jagex has one "wannabe-cheater" less.

I support this petition. Jagex really does go over the top sometimes, and they need to give people more chances, they don't even belive me :( when I sent a ban appeal to them. They banned me for selling accounts apparently, they said I said "Selling accounts- 10k very cheap", firstly I wouldn't sell my account for 10k since it is a pretty decent account, secondly my friend keylogged me in the same PC and when I was out just for a while he logged on in the same PC and did some pretty bad things :(
