Hello, I am Moon Minamino. I have been reading and posting on fanfiction.net for over a year now and I had a story deleted. This story was called sugar and sake and the person who reported me said that it was a worthles story and that it didn't follow format.

It DID follow format. It was not a CYOA, however it had a part at the top, seperate from the story where fangirls/boys could bif on anime girls/boys. The accual story was well written (in my opinion) and followed the rules. Basicly the person who reported me did so cause they didn't like my story.

Also, I think fanfiction shouldn't delted every story/member reported. I belive they should look the story and/or author before deleting their story/account.

If you agree with me, then you'll sign this petition. Remember, only sign once so that fanfiction will take us seriously!

Thanks,
Moon Minamino

77 27 Jul 2008 - 15:39    Emma Colly : I support this petition. I have an account and even though I have not had a story delted, I get dumb reviews about how my story is dumb or there are too many errors in spelling. It's dumb, they should just let us write.
76 3 Jan 2008 - 0:43    raven the sorceress : Please review stories before you delete them! Some of us really are following the rules!
75 17 Apr 2007 - 3:06    Captain Cranium : I got a fic reported for bad grammar! I've never had grammar bad enough to be reported.
74 17 Feb 2007 - 3:21    Kaio : I support this.
73 4 Dec 2006 - 0:19    CelloSolo2007 :
72 27 Nov 2006 - 12:22    harley quinn : I actually like ff.net I dont think there that strict i havent had ne problems so far and ive been a user for a couple years now. And cyoa's are fun but the point of ff.net is to upload your stories not to let other people make up there own stories out of your work.In fact im pretty thankful that there not too loose i h8 reading fics that are labeled as k+ but have explicit sex scenes its irritating.
71 8 Nov 2006 - 0:16    Rachel Gentry :
70 20 Feb 2006 - 10:59    adora prentice : I support this petition.
69 28 Jan 2006 - 4:22    Jade : I agree! Fanfiction has ratings of ALL kinds...even R. If someone that likes to write a lemon or something close wants to! Then they should be able to!
68 18 Oct 2005 - 2:53    Sango : I absolutely agree. I had a fic deleted because of their no-lemon rule. Who are they to make up rules without consulting the users of the site?!
67 27 Aug 2005 - 2:51    XTempest888X : I must agree with Kerbi about how the rules on FanFiction.net have become rediculous, just deleating a story or account because its reported is just plain wrong, i have recently started writing there myself, at first, I was scared to write anything because i was afraid that i would break one of there rules. It is just insane. I also agree that as long as we give credit and we put the right rating on, we should be aloud to write what we want. Can some one plz make a fanfiction site where we can do that, plz. I have seen so meny petitions agenst what FanFiction.net is doing its not funny, i have been signing everyone i find. FanFiction.net, from what i have read, was once about the writing, it was much more lenent and it was there for people who wanted to writ fanfics, but now, its all about the rules, if they dont get there act togeather soon, they will lose all there members.
66 22 Jul 2005 - 10:01    Kerbi : FF.nets rules are ridiculous and so are their methods of deletion. i would estimate that over half of the fanfiction on the site violates rules. most notably are the rules against having quotes or song lyrics. what the hell? if we give credit, why cant we preface with lyrics or a quotes, as is done in most books and plays published throughout history?? we are writing FAN FICTION. we are already giving credit to JKR for the characters and such. WHY can we not add in lyrics or quotes? additionally, these are NOT the type of rules to implement, if ff.net is indeed so inclined to create more guidelines. frankly, the quality of writing on ff.n is AWFUL. they'd do better to implement rules on spelling or grammar as on schnoogle. if ff.net truly enforces their rules as they are written, they will have to delete most of the fics there. also, why not ask us to change our fics or at least give us a warning so we can save them and save reviews?!! most of us have backups but i know authors who have lost work. this is getting ridiculous. i for one am moving to schnoogle. i've had enough of ff.net's inferior quality, ridiculous rules, and haphazard enforcement. as a highly successful author, i would have harbored some sentimentality for the site i first posted fanfic on. but when they treat their authors like this -- no. it is time to move on. ff.net will shatter itself with its own poor decisions. i am through.
65 30 Jun 2005 - 17:30    Rebecca Sutton : I'm Firebird157, Sarah already linkeded my thoughts on ffn. We need a better fanfic site.
64 12 Jun 2005 - 11:00    Azalyn Midnight :
63 23 May 2005 - 15:02    Jackson Heuer : The person who started this trend can rot in hell
62 6 Apr 2005 - 10:48    Kellie : I agree, but Fanfiction.net ****s anyway--use www.ficwad.com instead. It's new, but it already gives ff.net a kick in the butt.
61 14 Mar 2005 - 5:01    Kaniya : that site has gotta be one of the most anyoing things ive ever signed up to. they kicked me off the first day, just for making one mistake! -_-+ i hate 'em! they should be a free fanfic site, like mm.org, or animespiral!
60 11 Mar 2005 - 4:06    Sear : i totaly agree.
59 7 Mar 2005 - 0:28    Sanguine *12177* :
58 27 Feb 2005 - 3:41    chocobo_lover : Hmm... ReactionX? Shut up and get a life. Your fanfics are ****, real ****. You can't write, and your grammar isn't all that great either. Go bother someone who wants to hear your whines you *******. I'm done with that. *smiles* I would love to see fanfiction.net taken down for their prejudice. It's screwed up anyway because of the newbies with their horrible writing and the flamers that pollute the review boards. Please, instead of trying to change the site's rules, try to take the site down itself.
57 24 Feb 2005 - 7:32    vampire of the shadows : I'm obviously tired of amateur writers... What makes me angry about fanfiction.net is that the newbies basically get away with everything. Example: They can put their stories into script (chat) format, and their story will not be deleted. I also do not like it when an excellent writer has their story deleted just because someone is jealous and reports them. There are many people I attempted to have taken down for their not following the rules, and how they are always flaming others with better writing. They disturb the peace, and I wish to do something about that.
56 24 Feb 2005 - 7:26    Indigo_the_Cat : I too had a story deleted once, and I was thorough to make sure that I was following all of the rules. But without warning, my story was deleted! Thank god I had it saved on my PC when they did that!
55 24 Feb 2005 - 2:07    Raven A. Star : I've seen people who's stories had hardly any errors get deleted and stories that contain barely understandable crap stay up. Unfair and also, half of the stuff they delete stories for isn't even in their 'rules'.
54 23 Feb 2005 - 21:39    Reggaeshikotama : I've had the experience of having a story delted without good reason. fanfiction.net REALLY needs to set rules that people can understand and are also unable to be used to the admins advantage to just be prejudice. I followed the format for the story and it still got deleted again. I didn't repost for months because I was SO pissed. But I reposted it last week and hope it stays (plus it was Part one to a Trilogy so I had to repost it at some point). The story is called "How Much I hate You" and is a Power Puff Girls fanfic. The name that I use here is the same name that I use for my fanfic account. I hope this vote makes a difference because I know users who have left their accounts because they're up with ff.net B.S.!
53 18 Feb 2005 - 12:18    Hikari : Fanfiction.net actually lets some of their members do the story checking. Those jerks are just deleting our stories for because THEY think it's bad. Mine was deleted...well because I called them a dictatorship in one portion ^_^; BUT I WAS P*&&#! OFF!!!
52 13 Jan 2005 - 12:25    valencia : i totally agree they deleted my stories for no freakin resson!I followed the rules!
51 10 Jan 2005 - 2:28    Truth-Lies-Dreaming : Fanfiction.net needs to look over stories before they delete them. nfiction.com is great, but doesn't get enought traffic. CYOA and SF rule, however, there is a site, usually called adultfanfiction.net, though I'm not sure if that's the actual URL for NC-17s. It gets traffic, TRUST ME. *rolls eyes*
50 5 Jan 2005 - 6:38    andromedacblack : FanFiction deletes all my stories for no reason, and I'm tired of rereading the rules constantly to find them at no fault. May order be brought back to FF.net
49 31 Dec 2004 - 7:07    Magma : They removed my fic for barely any good reason at all. What is wrong with them? Without us, Fanfiction.net wouldn't be what is today. The least they could do is let us write in any format we want to write in and stop removing our stories which we worked so *******.
48 31 Dec 2004 - 6:52    cloud : I AGREE! fan fiction has been deleting Inughost (great writer) and my friend robin1fan's storys! MAKE THEM STOP!
47 30 Dec 2004 - 23:48    Child of Darkness : I like FF.net they just seriously need to ligthen up on rules. Especially the one about no CYOAS and then no script format. Yea I usually don't write in SF but when it comes to a humor fanfic i do because its alot easier. But anyway back to the CYOA its basically another fanfiction and isn't the site call FANFICTION.NET!? grr.. its so pointless to take of these fics that some people like.
46 27 Dec 2004 - 9:19    LibrarianBrent : FF.N is the worst site ever.
45 16 Dec 2004 - 14:35    Mimi : I can understand and support the upset over the banning of CYOAs. They are merely different perspectives for writing. If they are going to stop CYOAs and Insert U’s they should also ban First person too. In Fact maybe they should just close the site since they can’t decide what is proper literature and what is not. The only thing in this petition that I don't agree with is the Grammar rule. I realize that people make mistakes. I’m no expert at the English language myself mind you but I try to do my best. Even in most every published book there are mistakes. When FF.net says it will be harder on Grammar, I believe they mean this to be applied to the way in which the whole of the story is written. Some of you out there must have come across one of those fanfiction’s with NO grammar what so ever. There are stories on FF.net that have no capitalization, no proper spelling and no punctuation. Since there are quite a few stories scribbled in this manner, I get the impression that the author doesn’t care. Furthermore stories of that nature are not at all entertaining to read. The people who write in such a fashion need help and there are plenty of places to get that help. I think FF.net may be just trying to increase the quality of the literature on the site. I don’t thing it was their intention to deprive people from posting their literary works. In the case of the NC-17 fiction, I can agree with you to a certain point. There is a time and place for smut. If it is in a place that children, i.e. those way under 18, can get to it then I have a problem with it. A lot of children are not taught correctly about sex before they go out and try it. Being that a good number of the readers on FF.net ARE underage I feel taking NC-17 off the site was a reasonable idea. If Porn sites are protected than why not stop explicit sex on a very PUBLIC site such as FF.net. I’ll bet that it was the parents of said children caught reading these fics that called for the ban. Sorry people
44 9 Dec 2004 - 6:20    Mokichan : FANFICTION.NET ****S! JUST WHEN I LEARN HOW TO UPLOAD MY STORIES THAT HAVE TO MAKE SOME CRAP LIKE THIS!!
43 8 Dec 2004 - 9:07    Katie :
42 8 Dec 2004 - 9:06    Destiny :
41 7 Dec 2004 - 12:43    Koneko Mouto : Some of my favorite stories were CYOAs and i want them back! What happened to creative lisence?
40 25 Nov 2004 - 12:49    sma : Fanfiction.net is so strict. It's the leading fanfiction site on the net. Yet, it can't stay that way because it keeps making up stupid, unfair rules. I'm sick of some people saying "If you like what they're doing, go post your fic somewhere else" STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! There is no site that's more popular than FFN! But because FFN's stupid rules it might lose its popularity sooner or later. I hope they realize the errors of their ways and bring NC-17, script and CYOAs back.
39 24 Nov 2004 - 9:21    trinity : i completely agree CYOA are my absolute fave i liked ffn but then they started taking off CYOA,s and i hate them. now i cant find any good sites with CYOA,s i believe ffn is being unfair in deleting stories without checking them.i dont believe that jus bcause otherz dont like them that they should b so mean. ahmen to anyone who can find a site with CYOA. and let the f***in ba****rds who made the f***kin rule burn in the eternal depths of h**l
38 23 Nov 2004 - 11:56    Silver : I don't get what's wrong with CYOA fics! AND ALL CYOA HATERS, GET AWAY IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH THE PETITIONS!!! Anywayz, Fanfiction.net should might as well take down the whole ****ing site for all I care. I use to go there everyday and made it my homepage, but now it's the website I loathe. It's just not fair how they judge it just by the cover. MANY, MANY people like them! They should have like a vote or something. They can't just take it down without the writer's permission.
37 23 Nov 2004 - 10:25    Arista Niara : Actually, I'm in the same situation. They're rules are BS and people like that don't know good fan fiction if it bit them on the butt. Another good place is www.fosff.net.
36 15 Nov 2004 - 1:17    Zack : I'll sign this. And if you're looking for a decent place to write anything you want on, head to www.fandomination.net.
35 9 Nov 2004 - 12:18    SilverOokami : Hello, this is Star_Fox again. I must say that I am very amused at the people who are flaming people who write/read CYOAs. If you think people like us are pathetic, why don't you go look in the mirror? You people that are against CYOAs are just as pathetic as we are; why bother with something you think is stupid? To get a kick out of it? To put people down? Or is it just something to do in your lame ass lives? Do us CYOA/SI people a favor: get the **** outta here if you don't like us and get a life.
34 6 Nov 2004 - 4:10    Ashley : WTF...they think they can rule over REGULAR STORIES?! I had one word capitilized all the way along to show experssion..wtf is wrong with that? jesus crist. Worst thing ever. Deleting even regular stories. My grammer was correct in it along with others. just cause I over capitilized some words to mcuh isn't bad. for god's sake. Just leave at least regular stories alone!!
33 1 Nov 2004 - 6:40    Briar : Curse you, FF.net!! Here's my vote, hope it makes a difference...
32 1 Nov 2004 - 5:28    emmalie malfoy : omg!!! u r so rite! i lost 2 storys on fanfcition net b/c they siad i wuz out of the tos but i no i wuz not. i wuz liek so mad!!!11 i fergot 2 mak back up copys n i don have copys of my storys nemore :( :( fanfiction net sux!
31 15 Oct 2004 - 9:57    that is irrelevant : why is it that everyone says sh-t about deleting cyoa? if it says that the public is not to be involved in it, then why post it there? making more websites to post cyoas and insert yous would like someone has stated waste web-space. why not just find one that is already there, and post it on that site? but of course, the site manager may go nuts from all the stories being sent there. cyoa's in my opinion are not exactly fanfiction, they're more like... public-fiction, the public decides what happens, therefore creating a story in which the writer does not write according to the original plot. as another had said previously, your story may have folled the plot, but it could have been changed by the public. [that is if your story was a cyoa] and personally i dont think these petitions will really work. fanfiction.net most likely wont give a da*n about it, considering it was stated in the TOS. i myself have an account there, but have left the site. there is way too much bull being tossed around.
