I know this is a little late. i took vioxx for a good 6 months i would say. and within those 6 months they had me taken either the 25 mg or 50 mg i dont remember now. i believe it was the 50 mg once a day. i took well over 300 of these pills. and i have no clue if in my future i am going to have problems because of it. i was 14/15 when i took these pills im now 17.
That the Pharmaceutical Industry and its subsidiaries, the APA, AMA & FDA are still extant is beyond belief. Consumers had better wake up - they're the real power.......
I support this petition. People are dying from overdose and the side effects of prescription medications. Stop advertising on TV encouraging the use of drugs for every symtom imaginable!
Anti depressants are causing depression and aggression leading to suicide and homicide. Refuse to support the drug companies!
Despite the typo (Ed/ Eric Harris) This is an important petition. Having witnessed a normally peaceful person become psychotic and violent, wile coming off effexor, I know for a fact that antidepressants are making some people violent. Why have we allowed drug makers to hide the results of drug studies from the public? Full disclosure NOW!
All of the anecdotal and emotional evidence not withstanding, it is intuitive that full disclosure and honesty in decisions of pharmacy is right and to the benefit of patients.
Drug research, manufacture as well as selling is a system by itself. It is is not properly run then the public consumers will bear the brunt of it's misgivings.
Too often, researchers spend so much time developing a drug that they refuse to give up, even if it would be clear to an outsider that the drug will not work. It's hard to give up on years of research, but for the sake of human health and safety, it's absolutely necessary. Thank you.
