The U.S. is the only country who didn\'t sign the treaty yet. It\'s a mad rush to get to the front of the line. In this situation, the U.S. is behind. Is there any penitence?
i support this because our people are dying slowly(of various types of skin cancers b/c of the harsh rays of the sun). i want my children's children to see the bright of day like i did but they won't because it would be too hot to see.
It is widely believed that the US refusal to sign is under the influence of Esso petrol, a large financial supporter of GW Bush's destruction of the natural world. So please sign the protocol, and everyone boycott Esso and their pollutant problem!
I totally support it! USA is the biggest polluter in the world. It contributes 40% of global greenhouse gases!
The Iceberges r melting with rocket speed! We should do something real quick, otherwise more and more of us will die in tsunamie or a hurricane!!!
hm...i dont really know about this. america, beining as large as it is population and land-wise, does help other countries. not only with money and war but also allows immagration. thare-fore im not completely sure about this matter...bu i gues this country IS sort of bad....it DOES cause many problems...wich is why I want to move to another...but w/e
The USA represents a fraction of the worlds population, however is the largest source of C02 in the world. Your children will die, the world along with them. It is a selfish, selfish country of I want and I need...I am ashamed of all that we are.
what the hell is your problem bush?
i suppose the fact that you've gained oil reseves in iraq has solved the problem of drying up resources for the biggest oil guzling country in the world.
if you don't sign you will be the biggest betrayer to mankind that ever lived.
your petition is one of the most fresh and honest voices i have seen on this sight.
Your Carbn dioxide emissions are surely going to condemn us to a slow and painful death. I fear that the nature of this death will surpass even that of a nuclear war in sheer brutality. And, as a note of final absurdity I shall note that Mr. Bush says factories don't count as Carbon Dioxide emitters.
I support this petition.
As a child of Gaia who
happens to have been born in america I am saddened by our refusal to sign an agreement that we were instrumental in
bringing about. I guess somewhere along the way america decided that
they would rather have big powerfull cars, than clean air. So they undid in a few years all the progress we made in 30 years.
I have real trouble calling myself american nowadays.
In my oppinion I am a loyal citizen of earth. My country no longer matters as much to me.
the usa are the biggest polluters in the world. if they cannot sign kyoto...boycott all products from the usa! buying from the usa is supporting polution!
USA is the worlds leading producer of greenhouse gasses, they contribute 37% of the CO2 in the world. USA is the country in the world that should sign most.
Les Etats Unis sont les premiers pollueurs au Monde et vu l'avenir qui nous attends leur signature est essentiel!!!!
Sorry if you don't understand nothing but I'm french and i am 15 so it's why I have written in French!!
Don´t be egoistic! SIgn up here and make earth a place to stay on,
or shall I remind you how we actually havn´t found an other planet to move to? Well, I would like my children to see this world too...!
does the Automobile industry really rule your country that much?....just sign the damn thing so you don't have mutant children and get cancer just from breathing the air!
we hav to sign the kyoto treaty polution can puncture the ozone layer and ppl can then get skin cancer who wants things coming out of their skin not me!
Im from the UK and the low total here shows you why they havent...its not seen as a big deal by americans. ITS ALMOST TOO FAR TO GO BACK, WE HAVE TO STOP POLLUTING
