Even if you don’t like dogs or animals, duh just sign... These dawgs are totally awesome.

Point: Officially recognize and establish the Utonagan as a purebred canine breed with most international kennels like the American Kennel Club (http://www.akc.org/) and the Kennel Club (http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/)

Background and other stuff: The Utonagan began more than twenty years ago as a breed, the goal to create a dog in the resemblance of a wolf. They are not classified as wolves, nor are they hybrids or crossovers with these canine cousins. The German Shepherd, Malamute and Siberian Husky played important roles at the beginning, but a completely different direction is currently undertaken. Thanks to solid efforts by dedicated societies, high standards and meticulous maintenance, the Utonagan now purely breeds on its own lines, with specific expectations and goals. A beautiful animal true to the aspirations of its founders, it has a sound temperment, is loyal, very intelligent, and friendly with people, animals, & other dogs.

The leaders and breeders in this movement have taken special care to produce puppies of excellent quality and well taken care of. Specific training is encouraged to every owner, and dogs are ensured excellent home environments with responsible caring owners, and a superior diet nicknamed, “BARF.” (Bones and Raw Food) No animal is thrown away, and the BARF diet provides the most natural healthiest options for dogs.
[For more info on this, go to: http://www.carrara-utonagan.com]

Note that the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) investigated the Utonagan heritage and determined that no wolves are indicated in the breed.

Take part in forging a legacy and come bark up this tree!

More information about this breed can be found at the original Utonagan Society: http://www.utonagan.co.uk/

Quickie Facts:
-Iskote was the first in his breed to serve the society PET "Pets as Therapy", he even helped to cure cynophobia: fear of dogs!
-The Utonagan looks very similar to a wolf, yet it's a dog, and no wolves were ever bred with them!
-The founding dogs were originally Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, and German Shepherd.
-It was once named the "Northern Inuit" but since then has totally split off from that group.

I support this petition. I own one of these great tempered and loyal dogs. After having other breeds throughout my life, this particular one is as they say, he is faithful, sound tempermented and very quick to learn. After having a utnagan i would only ever have these now and i totally support the utonagan society.

Maybe we should remember that all current recognised pedigree breeds were all once mongrels. Due to the dedicated and painstaking efforts of those breeders at the Utonagan Society and the Utonagan Diog Club, the Utonagan is now very much a Pedigree animal. Come on Kennle Club, look at the evidence and put your wealth of knowledge and expertise in assisting the further development of this truly worthwhile and exciting new breed

they should be recognised as a pure breed because they are very rare dogs.
