If people are truly free, they should be free to choose to become slaves. Voluntary slavery should be a life option open to anyone who chooses it. Slaveowners would get a lifetime of labor, and slaves would get a lifetime of room and board. Nobody would be forced to be a slave for any reason, and there would be a long, government administered process to ensure that slaves understand the risks and rewards of permanent enslavement. But if, after such a process, individuals still want to become chattel slaves, who is harmed?

I support this petition.I for one have thought about this for years. I think there should be 5 different trial periods with each one being longer than the last. Maybe a week, then a month, then maybe 3 months, then 6 months, and then for 1 year. During these periods the volunter (slave) would not be able to leave. After the final trial period of a year then the person could leave or sign himself (or herself) for a lifetime. The lifetime contract should not be able to be broken. No. This is stupid. You can't contract away your freedom for good. If you want to go and work for somebody for the rest of your life for free be my guest. But you always have the right to leave. You have the inherent right to decide things for yourself and you can't give that up any more than you can give up being human.

Non-racial slavery, idiot #2. i'm a white man and i would be eager to become a slave for the rest of my life, preferably to a man who expected the work of three men out of me every day, and expected it done in half the time it would take ten men to do it. i hope he would work me to the bone every day and then make me come in after a day's backbreaking labor and cook and serve his dinner.

YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE NIGGERS SIGN A PICTURE, SO THEY KNOW THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES. ALSO, THEY ARE ILLITERATE AND STUPID, SO IT WOULD HAVE TO BE A VERY SIMPLE PICTURE. MAYBE A STICK-MAN PICTURE OF A SMILING MONKEY EATING A BIG BUNCH OF BANANAS; MMMMM GOOD.
