Truly an SDK release for this wounderful game should be released. it would add so much in terms of reply and customization not to mention allowing the community to expand that which has already begun or even making addons based off the paper and pen versions. Keep your game alive dont let it suffer!
A game this close to genius should be finished. You know it makes sense. Half life - amongst others - would never have continued to sell so well for so many years without an SDK...
An SDK is very important to FPS/RPG games. Just look at the success of TES: Morrowind, Half-Life 2, Doom3 and so on and so forth. It would really make an asset to this game. :)
Please make an SDK, look how beneficial making mod tools was for Half-Life (1)! Counter-strike was a mod and is now one of the most-played online games.
Mods also greatly extend the play life of the game, past completion of the original storyline.
As a huge fan of bloodlines, i must stress how puzzled i am as to why there is no sdk or even any announcements about it, please take this petition seriously as there is a huge mod community waiting to give you a huge publicity boost
Please make the SDK, even if you guys have to charge money for it, if you guys made this you could make money and we would play this game much longer, PLEASE
i would appreciate a texture mod tool, that could shows the models with the textures on when the work is done..
in this way it would be more fast to pick the texture to mod too. Thanks
activision, i have been a long time loyal customer and fan.
I love the new v.t.m. bloodlines and would like to add a couple levels and play online......
I would even pay money for a new s.d.k. or even a softimage xsi tool for bloodlines, since we the modding vampire the masquerade community have been waiting for this game for like five years for the soul purpose of modding (a sequel to redemption)with bigger and badder graphics, not so many bugs, more realistic facial expressions...etc
in short we are paying respect for
the fine work on the game, and us modders would love to use it as a template to create our own worlds(i personaly was trying to put together a portfolio to use in job interviews)
if not an s.d.k. then can you provide full documentation for us that dont in any way want to profit from it,we do it for the love of it............
being a big fan of the game and observing the enthusiasm and the great influx of creativity among modders, it is easy to see that the game will benefit immensely from a software development kit. for it definitely has the potential, and it has the community to use this potential.
This game is fast becoming a cult hit, with the help of an SDK it could last for years like other games such as Operation Flashpoint and even Half-Life
THough not a modder myself I have seen the great enthusasim that has developed in the community surronding this game. And know that many people including myself would benefit greatly from the ability of the many modders out there being able to easily be able to add new content to this game.
Bloodlines is an absolute masterpeice of programing and game development, but it suffers from the same flaw as its predecessor, Redemption, in that it is woefully short. Mods and multiplayer would greatly extend the life and joy of this product, and would inevitably result in greater profits.
yes,it would be the most honorable thing activision could do, i feal like i didnt get my moneys worth.
sierra gave out the halflife 2
sdk(valve).is it because they dont want to pay softimage to make a vampire xsi ,which would have just been the best thing activision had ever done....
As much as we all want to see a sequel or expansion to Bloodlines in the future, it is still a good idea to release an SDK for the Bloodlines gaming community. We all wait patiently for more, but until that happens, damn do those game-tweakers among us wish to mod a game we love.
SDK will make the game worth it. I might even buy the sequel if you guys study what the community comes up with in the form of MODs. In my opinion I think the public has been robbed if the sdk doesnt come out soon. The game lacks in many details the community could refresh you guys on what a real vampire game is suppose to look like. HA
