Activision's EULA (esp. its 3rd paragraph) definitely speaks of editing tools which must not be used for commercial purposes - but where are they??? It would be great if they would publish something like TES Construction Set, not only for the community, but also for this great game itself.
Fans of the Vampire series have waited ages for a release like this - Bloodlines is an amazing world, but it could be even more amazing. There are hundreds if not thousands of creative modders ready to make this game into a bonafide culture. Please release the SDK, or frankly, we'll take anything you've got that will help. Specs, beta tools, samples, ideas. Whatever we can use to mod the game, we'll figure out the rest.
It may have its imperfections, but is a great game nonetheless - otherwise, we wouldn't be here.
Ignore the idiot Leonid Semenetz, the mod community really needs this SDK to prevent a decent game becoming just another one-hit-wonder instead of an enduring legacy for VtM.
I strongly support the release of a developement kit since as said it would multiply the replay ability when players can create their own vampire adventures in the White Wolf world, clearly something possitive both for the players and for your company as it'd work as a strong argument for buying the game in the first place.
Bloodlines is an awesome game, and I hope for expansions soon. Morrowind was too, and their expansions sold.. But what keeps it still popular are the mods. Please allow the modding community to expand Bloodlines, so when the next expansion is released, or the next game in the series, more people are familiar with the line of games. Please!
Don't be lame please give us some map making etc for your game as you make loads of money by doing not much ever heard of valve software......yeah my point one mod made them number one.
I think an SDK for this game is necessary as pathetic troika and activision were more concerned on profiting off an early release than releasing a fully complete bloodlines... they should be shot for this!!.. the combat melee system needs major fuckin reworkin and its obvious troika are lazy cocksuckers who wont fix shit!! so at least give us an sdk you corporate thiefs!!
the blood and gore levels need major reworking and revamping we can fix it all but GIVE US A FUCKING SDK NOW!!!!!!!!
YOUR 1.2 PATCH WAS PATHETIC IT ONLY MADE BLOODLINES LEGALLY RELEASEABLE..
HOW CAN SUCH A GREAT GAME BE MANIPULATED AND TURNED INTO SUCH A CORRUPTED HALF DONE PEICE OF SHIT!!!! YOU OWE US THE SDK YOU CUNTS.....
I would love to see a SDK released. It would do nothing but enhance the appeal of an already fantastic game! Mods are what make or break games now a days. It would be very foolish not to release a SDK to the public.
I think it'd be a good idea to release an SDK, just so more expeirenced fans can finish the work you obviously didn't...plus it's always fun to have a set of development tools for games...
I know after finishing the game I felt an instant urge to find if there was an SDK and of course there wasn't, so I resorted to Half-Life 2 SDK to fill the gap and soon forgot about the Vampire Bloodlines icon on my desktop. That icon doesn't exist there anymore because my computer cleaned it up from lack of use. What brought me back to thinking about it was the hope for an SDK.
You don't want us to eventually get bored of the great game you made, by releasing this, we all get to continue enjoying the software you worked so hard to make.
An SDK will extend the life of this game for years, especialy VTM:B using the source engine. Look at what Unreal ED has done for UT and the Valve and Hammer editor for Half Life. !!!
A SDK is like blood, we need it to use ower powers! We need it to survive! We need it to make good mods
We need it...
We need it...
We need it...
We need it now!
VTMB is already dying...you have to save your best game so far!!! further: VTMB is a rpg and such games live out of the stories players can tell others...see Vampire Redemption!
