Video games are the best medium of entertainment. You don't get the same feelings when watching a movie or listening to a song or reading a book as you do running around the Mushroom Kingdom, blasting Metroids, or solving puzzles to collect pieces of the Triforce.

Characters like Solid Snake, Link and others have become icons of the times. I believe the people who created them should have some sort of recognition
With the ever growing population of gamers and games, its a wonder why they havn't started this befor. honoring such clasics characters like Mario, Link, Sonic, Donkey Kong, and the ever so lovable Yoshi would be a great adition to the Hollywood Walk Of Fame! Just watch where you step, Wario dosn't take kindly to that. ^_~
I think this is a really cool idea because Mario, Sonic, Link, Pikachu and all the other big names of video games deserve to have their names in hollywood for keeping gamers like me really happy and unbored for years.
Mario, Sonic, and the other great all-stars of gaming deserve to be recognized just as much as any movie star. They have kept us gamers entertained in many more ways than a movie can. With their abilities and power-ups and uniqueness combined with the simple fact that we can control them is a feeling that world-famous acting can only compare to for the 2 hours you watch their work. Gaming lasts a lifetime, and that should be recognized.

Link and Mario should have their spot in hollywood. I ask you who doesn't know who they are. You'll get bored of movies but a good game like zelda will never bore you.
I learn English in the school but with the games my english is much better than my classmates, I'm grow with characters like Mario, Pikachu, Link and much more and I think they need a star in the hall of fame like a Thankgiving^^
Video games are equally as creative and entertaining as movies, TV, radio and Theater and they deserve to be on the 'Walk of Fame'.
Just don't forget that the Games business made more money than movoes last year, and a lot of the gaming companies are based in and around L.A. and Hollywood.
It's the hollywood walk of fame, which implies that it has to do with movies. There is the walk of game in San Fran... no need for the gaming community to impose on the film community.
I think that doing this will show future generations what kind of games characters we had that is if Mario and the zelda games ever go away(it'll never happen)

Just because the video game characters themselves are not real people, they do have human characteristics that people can identify with! Heck, if CARTOON CHARACTERS can be immortilzied on the Walk of Fame, why not video game characters!?
Video games characters such as Mario has achieved goals for Nintendo like no actor has done for film or television. These video games characters should be regognised for the achievemnts made possible by them.
I think it would be a good idea to recognize video game charachters from all major game companies. But I think Mario should most definitely be put on there because he is a huge icon in the world of gaming.
Videogames charecters should deffinatly be put on the walk of fame as the games industry is now bigger than the film industry. Lets not forget that more and more games are now inspiring films.
