thats a damn great idea. I'm sure that stars that have their names on the hollywood walk of fame play mario and zelda games so I think that they should create another categorie for video games because THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YESYESYESYESYES! but i think that mostly Link should be put on the walk of fame and Zelda and Mario and Luigi and Princess Peach ohh, and Yoshi, hehehehehe theres just sooo many!
hell ya they better be put on...im freaking italian....and seeing mario on the walk of fame makes me feel that there is a italian that made it to the top!!!! lmao
Mario, Link(from Zelda), Donkey Kong should be put on the hollywood walk of fame because they are a way of entertainment as well. If we can put tv stars, movie stars and radio personalities on the walk why not Video Game stars as well.
Pac man should defenitly be in it because pac man was one of the first arcade games. It has spawned many games like pac land, pac-n-roll and pacman world. PACMAN RULES!!
Ok Link, Mario, Megaman, Simon Belmont should all be on this walk of fame, they made games what they are today and have by far passed the test of time as they still make great sequels.
I personaly create, with my friends, video games and it takes A LOT of talent, art, thinking, team work, perseverence and time to finaly get something good. So why not. I think the artists and programmers deserve to have a spot there reserved for there remarkable acheivments. HOOAH!
I grew up with Mario on the NES and I definitly thing that he's earned the right to be on that walk. The Legend of Zelda is also a great series and the Hero of Time, Link, should also get a place. Videogame characters are celebrities too!!
All these legendary Nintendo characters should definately be added to the walk of fame. These characters are probably more famous than any hollywood star. video games characters need to be added to the walk of fame!
"It's a me! Mario!"
Hollywood represents entertainment. Videogames entertain. Movies have been made from videogames, videogames have been made from movies. Enough said. Go for it
I feel that gaming characters are just as influential and well know as movie actors and others who warrent there spot on the walk of fame. Therefor, to limit gaming characters for it is to deni(sp?) the next generation a look at what shaped ours.
I think that putting them on the walk of fame would be ideal. They have been around just as long as movies have. Characters, such as Mario and Zelda, should be honored because in the gaming world (millions of people) they are true celebrities and they should get their fame noticed.
As a video game journalist and player at heart, I've grown to love this industry and many of the characters in it. I really believe that there is a place for video game stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The first character that should be inducted is Mario of Nintendo fame.

This would be a great accomplishment. I dont care for video games much anymore but I think that everyone who has made a major accomplishment should be recognized. Good Luck!
Looking back, the video game industry has been my biggest influence as a 21-year-old art director for an ad agency in Chicago. Video games, their developers and mascots deserve all the recognition afforded to any of the other entertainment industries, especially since the gaming industry is now outgrossing all the rest.
Would be a large step to video game´s popularity, and destroy, once and for all that arcaic concept that video games are just for nerds and kids.
Solid Snake, Alucard, Tommy Vercetti, must have a reserved place in there!
dont really care for mario. But Zelda yea. But in other cases it doesnt matter who I really like, what it matter is that the video game industry deserves to be recognize as other great entertainmnets and a star in the walk of fame will be the best thing to do
It is time that legends such as Link, Mario, and Master Cheif are honored in this way, just as famous movie stars are. Even though these characters don't really exhist, it is more of an honor to their creators.
