I think this is a great idea. But not only video game characters. Some of the great game developers and music composers as well(such as Shigeru Miyamoto for developer and Nobuo Uematsu for composer).
they have the 'Walk of Game' why can't they put those characters on the Walk of Fame? I think it's just that the characters are to good to be with some of those actors :)
They BELONG in Hollywood!
Frankly, seeing Video Games (or a more suitable term, Interactive Entertainment) on the Walk of Fame will be one the biggest things to ever happen to games in a very long time. It's about time gaming is seeing a huge recognition like this. Now to get that whole "video games aren't an art form" debate settled...
This is the best idea that I've heard all week! It's about time that the developers get some recognition for all the time and hard work they put into each and every game that they make.
Today the games such as legend of zelda super mario bros. and metroid take strong part of the day schedule. you can playand enjoy the story line.
i think the games are much more importent than movies, becouse in the game you are the one who control it and not film director.
I love video games because there is a feeling that I get when i realy get into a game that I cannot get anywhere else. When a game ends , I get very emotional, almost an attachment to it. Games are awesome!
Gaming will not be taken seriously by the worlds media until the likes of hollywood and the art community accept it as entertainment and art. If they can class music, movies and art museums as entertainment, then surely gaming should be ranked alongside these things and get the recognition it deserves?
pls guys. if you allow this to happen, then you won't only recognise those partictular characters, but also the developers of them
this will show a huge step in the video game world and that they will be recognised nationally
I am a college graduate with a full-time job and I'm going for my Masters...and I love Nintendo. Mario is an icon, someone that appeals to people from all walks of life. I concur that if Mickey Mouse can have a star, show the gaming industry the respect it deserves put them on The Walk too!

There are gaming character out there who are more popular than most celebrities so why not honour their years of hard work and commitment to getting us through life.
Mario should get a Star! he rocks! All the other classics deserve stars aswell, heck there should be a whole street meant for video game stars. If this dosnt happen I'm gonna start a revolution, whos with me?

The Walk of Fame has lost its value, because anyone even remotely considered a celebrity can buy one. Yet videogame stars, bring joy to millions for decades cant getone? Unexceptable!
Nintendo has been around for almost ever. Everyone on earth most likely knows something about them, or even played one of their games. Other companies also have top fictional videogame celebrities. Pac-Man and Sonic are non-nintendo that deserve major recognition.
