Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Cloud, Sonic, and many more are as reknowned, if not moreso than, as most of Hollywood's bigtime stars. I daresay Mario is more famous than Clint Eastwood or Russel Crowe or Julia Roberts for that matter. They are an enormous part of American entertainment and deserve to be recognized as such.
Mario and Link are the best!! Without a doubt!! They should definitely have their spots. Another team that should have their fame is the star fox team!!!!!!
Video games are an important part in almost everyones life. This will help remind people this and ,just the sight of mario on the hoolywood walk of fame would be cool. I will make sure to tell all of my friends about this!!!!
Characters such as Mario, Pikachu and Link need a star on the walk of fame, because that's what they are to many children! (give Link his star first though)
Without video games America wouldn't be as it is now. Not to mention that almost everybody now-a-days play more video game than go to the movies. We need Link from the Legend of Zelda to get his own star. He's one of Nintendo's best. We could also use some Sony and Microsft characters as well, since it would only be fair. If Mickey Mouse can have his own star then I do NOT see a reason why video game characters should not have their own star too!
I believe hollywood has a place for everything. Even video games deserve to be on the walk of fame. Video games have touched all our hearts, so I believe this is the only way to truly thank them for decades of entertainment.
Not much to say that others have not already stated. Just that the creators of interactive entertainment are just as passionate and hard working about their craft as the artisans and craftsmen in other entertainment industries. Largely, they are not recognized for their long hours and hard work and creative insight outside of the industry, yet they provide high quality entertainment to hundreds of millions of people all over the world for the last generation; and it's only going to get bigger and more prevalent from here. The people who create these exciting landscapes of entertainment, deserve to have their day in the sun, just like anyone else who strives to make the life of all humanity the better through entertaining us and reminding us of one of the best reasons why it is good to be human.
Nowadays, people spend more time playing video games than watching T.V. or going to the theatre, so it's only natural to have our favorite video game characters honored in the same way the heroes of other entertainment mediums are being honored. And don't try to say you can't do it because video game characters aren't real people, 'cause Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, and the Simpsons all have their own Stars.

I am one of the greatest fan of Link in the legend of zelda!!! Since I'm a kid, I did'nt miss One Zelda game!!! And personely I thing that Link has to be on the Hollywood's Walk of Fame!!!

How could you not recognize interactive characters on the Walk of Fame? I would bet that if you asked 10,000 people, including children, who Mario is and then ask them who Laurence Olivier is, more could tell you who Mario is than Olivier. It would be insanity to not include interactive stars on the Walk of Fame!
I think this is a real good idea, as video games characters don't get the credit they deserve outside the video games industry. Games like the Metal Gear Solid series, the Final Fantasy series and the Metroid series tell tales of epic proportions, easily rivalling and maybe even surpassing the plots in some of the movies today.Video games deserve more recognition for what they have achieved!
The video game world has been a part of my life since I can remember. It helped shape who I am. The advancement of this entertainment has created another world that players/viewers can go to to escape their everyday lives. Movies take care of that for a max of three hours...video games, indefinetly.
Samus Aran of the Metroid Series has told a story so much more complex then most movies I've seen. Though each title lacks the words, her actions and events in her adventures has brought her to life more vividly then any on-screen character.

Video games have created characters that rival movie characters. Characters such as Mario, Link, Master Chief, Samus Aran, Donkey Kong, and so many others wholeheartedly deserve their rightful recognition by the entertainment world.
Video game stars have shaped my growing up ever since I was five. I have great admiration and pride in those such as link and Marios values. I believe they have every right to be awarded this acknowledgement to thier wide spread effect on the commercial climate.

As a Zelda fan and loyalist to Nintendo products. I was too an 80's child who grew up with nintendo characters like Link and Mario. I think these franchises should have a hollywood tile walk of fame.
Why, they defined popular culture.
Even though Nintendo may not have full market share of the console market, they innovate just like Apple in the computer world. Nintendo is still a creative company and will prevail in years to come. Mario, Link, Samus, Megaman...The legends. They all need their own stars. I mean, let's face it, video game stars are much cooler than any of the people on the stars there anyway.
It's true, video games make more money than movies and music. famous developers and game heros or villians should be included. I'm suprised nobody has done this sooner.
The interactive entertainment industry is growing ever larger, and pulls in more money than movies. It is only on the basis of logic that i reccomend this walk of fame for the interactive entertainment industry.
