Video game stars are just as big and maybe even bigger then movie stars so they need to make room for big stars like Mario, Link and Zelda, Maga Man, bomberman, and don't forget Spartan 117 or better known as the Master Chief and all the other video game stars big and small in size need a chance to be on the walk of fame forever next to the movie stars.
Mario has always been an icon in video games. I definately would agree to have him and other Nintendo characters on the Walk of the Fame. It would be great for tourism as well as create more popularity. Movies have been made by video games so it's time to show them their due. Orlando Bloom as Link anyone?
Video Games are not only for children. Many Adults like them aswell. Video games are entertainment aswell as education. If you are a t.v star why are you different from a videogame star? Everyone should sign this petition for the sake of the game creators.
Videogames give people the feeling that they could be a hero too. Mario, Link, and all of the Nintendo crew deserve recognition for the stardom bestowed upon them since their beginning!
This is an excellent idea. Video games represent a large portion of entertainment, and we should honor those that work hard on them, just as we do movies.
Electronic entertainment and videos games more precisely are indeed a great part of modern entertainment and life. Mario has created the greatest presence of all time, more so than half the names on the Walk already, many of which I personally do not even know. Thousands of people across the globe can identify Mario. The Legend of Zelda, and Link, have created the greatest legend of all time, surpassed by none, excpet maybe the Lord of the Rings. No movie or TV show has ever had a story so engrossing and believable as that of Eternal Darkness, or the Resident Evil game series. These games make people happy. They induce emotion and actually put the player, normal, ordinary people, into a world where they can control it and live another life. That is an experience no maovie nor radio or TV show could ever give the common person. Does the electronic entertainment industry deserve it? The Walk of Fame was created for things like this. The characters of Mario and Link, just to name two of the greatest, do indeed have character of their own that surpasses in magnitude and likability those of countless movie characters and even the actors. And in the sense that they let the person into their own world, the video games actually become the player and remain in lasting memories as a part of the player. The Walk of Fame is not official nor believable without electronic entertainment, Mario, and Link and Zelda.
I believe videogames are just as important as tv or movies. They've been proved to have educational values in them as well as keeping things really fun, (and there isn't many things that can do that.) Characters like Link, Mario, Zelda, and DK are part of entertainment history now. They should be recognised for it.
I say that video game characters should be recognized. Video games are just like movies, if not even better for the interaction it provides. I believe whole-heartedly that the largest video game characters should be recognized for their contribution to society and the world.
Why do people feel that just because they are video games, they dont need to be recognized? Well I for one, feel that since they have been in my life since I was born. (1983) Guys like Mario, DK, Link and Zelda should be. How many of us grew up with them, and learned from them? I remmember that some of these games actually had morals and lessons in them. Dont try and go against them, and say "They are just games" when I see so many education in them. Thats my 10cents. What about Luigi? I thought he was awsome? Later.

Mario, DK and Link have been working in the entertaiment media for more than 18 years, and there has been actor or actresses that are in the Walk of Fame with less years working, so why theese two belove friends of us cannot be on it? they have all the right to be on it. Good luck Mario, DK and Link and Shigeru.
When you think mario you automatically think back to your child hood. Staying up all night on when you have school the next morning. Slepless days and nights when you would have all your friends over for that annual sleepover. Mario has brought usthe joy and delight of actually bieng a kid. Mario truely does deserve his own star.
Both, Mario and Link deserve the chance to be on the Hollywood walk of fame for bringing everyone around the world the true meaning, value and experience of what video games really are
I don't speak a perfec english, but onley i imagine one tink, see One of the best movies, see the legend of zelda ocarina of time in the cinema, when it hapen, a lot of people see that movie, and it become one of the betters movies on the planet.
They could not have the drama, but even without it, they have all the emotion that a good artist have, just ask it to Link, he's more sentimental and heroic than much of the today celebrities
Mario, Sonic, Link, and many other video game characters are way more famous than half the actors or singers out there! Everyone i know plays video games. The only ringtone i have on my phone is the Mario theme, which is one of the top downloaded ringtone! Make this happen people!!!!!
i would like to see mario have a star, where would be without seeing mario jumping on plants and getting bigger by eating mushrooms, I believe if it wasn't for mario there would be alot of games never made without the inspiration that he put in gamers and developers.
Great idea! Interactive entertainment is so much better! Although it may be argued that the developers are the real stars, and not the characters, you must look at our movies. Where would our actors be without people to write their scripts, do their makeup, and on and on? I say VOTE LINK!
Awesome idea, video-game characters have always been a huge part of my life and I'd love to honor them like this. I'd love to see people like Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Sonic, and Gordon Freeman!
