Adding video games to the Walk of Fame would be a truly enlightened idea. Video game characters can be just as well beloved as any movie or television star, and it's time that people began to relize that.
Hollywood needs to realize that the video gaming industry is just as big as any movie industry out there the names Mario, Link, MegaMan, and Donkey Kong are more well known to I would say most than some of the names on the walk of fame..I grew up knowing Link and Mario...not Tom Cruise..I didnt wake up every saturday morning to watch Tom Cruise in Top Gun..it was Mario and Sonic and Megaman Cartoons when i was a kid way back when...*sigh*..but yes anyway Mario is known all throuout the world...the character named after the land lord of the first..wharehouse used by Nintendo of America I belive but yes hes much more well known throughout US and the world more so than alot of the peoples names on that walk and yes he is part of entertainment.

Mario is awesome! He revolutionized video games. He also gave me a good reason to wake up on Saturday mornings! Other classic heros and heroines should be there like Samus Aran and Mega Man.
Mario deserves to be on the walk of fame, he's been known for so long and is a great characters. And unlike other characters, he hasn't become a "sell-out" by getting a gun or trying to hard to act cool like Shadow the Hedgehog or the new Loonie Toons.
Characters who have drastically affected the world in a positive manner should definitely be allowed on the Walk of Fame. I mean, did Tom Cruise make any industry as famous as Mario made video games?
I know the names and characters of the videogame industry, like Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Link and etc., more than I know and care about any person in the movie industry.
Why should not these world famous icons get their own star? Unlike most moviemusic icons these characters probably won't be forgotten by the next generation, but will be loved by several comming generations.

Mario, Donkey Kong, Link/Zelda are names that are known WORLD WIDE! Be the young or old, gamers or someone who has never played a video game. These names are known to all. Mario, D.K. and Link/Zelda have all been around for about 20 years!! Thet are more "famous" then any actor or actress. Their names satrted THE revaloution in the gaming community. Nowadays you cant turn around without seeing games being made after movies. Such as Batman, Ridick, Shreck etc... And why??? Because of 2 men and 1 Ape. Thank you NINTENDO and Thanks to Mario, Donkey Kong, and Link!!! I say give them what they have EARNED!!!
about time too, mario is frankly more popular and if he received all revenue from his gaming franchise he'd be much richer than some of those celebrities as well
i'm not too sure about mario and zelda being on the walk of fame (since hollywood is usually associated with cinema, not video games), but i'm still signing it because i'm a damn nintendo fanboy, nothing i can do about that but accept it. GO NINTENDO!! ALL HAIL REGGIE & IWATA-SAN!!!!!
Come on everyone- sign the goddam petition!!! All of Nintendo's stars deserve a rightful place on the walk of fame just as much as any hollywood actors/ actresses/people you may never have even heard of!!! Come on, the whole world knows who Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Pikachu are! Give them each a star and let them shine!
Oh I am SO signing this. You can't say to anyone I know that videogames are the future of entertainment -- They will just laugh right in your face. "Non-believers", as I like to call them, think that by holding a controller you automatically become a geek. Nobody bothers to read the facts.

We're living in a new age of entertainment and the line between the art of making movies and making a game is getiing thinner and thinner. A game has the same needs as a movie. It needs one or more good characters, a good storyline, great music etcetra.
Mario & Zelda should be on there. But Luigi also. Luigi is always left out, the quiet acheiver. If they were to put mario on, they must put Luigi on as well.
We have entered an era of customizable entertainment. Even movies are becoming more vidoegame-like we have seen the digital pixar movies, as well as flashmovies as major motion pictures. It is only fitting that the two greatest videogame moguls of our time, and quite possible all time. When all of our movie stars forgotten, the names of Mario, Link, and Donkey Kong will live on.
In a few short years, video game revenue will surpass that of the movies, television, and sports tickets combined. That is a force to be reckoned with. Mario, Donkey Kong and Zelda are the kings of Interactive entertainment. They deserve a star.

Yeah! We have to put video game characters on there too...Video games get more copies sold than DVDs and VHS's! What you need to do is put the most famous series on there...Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Donky Kong, and a whole lot of others I didnt mentiuon like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem. If they cant do that then...*something*
Mario is definately more well known than some of these over-rated, overpayed actors and actresses. He's also a better role model, won't see any of his sexcapades being broadcast across the world.
Why the **** not? Mario and all the other video game characters deserve at least a little shine of spotlight, and what better than the walk of fame? Let the Gaming Revolution BEGIN!!!!
I am proud to say I am as old as the Legend of Zelda series. I have a personal attatchment it and think it should be honoured with many other greats such as Mario, Donkey Kong, and Samus.
Mario, Zelda, amd Donkey Kong deserve to be here. They were all here over 20 years ago, and no that they are mostly known world wide, they deserve some good. Good Job Nintendo!!!
Nintendo has been around longer than all the other companies and there best games have been Mario Bro. and Legend of Zelda. From card-makers to legend-builders we should do this for the millions of lives that have been impacted by these legends.
