Mario would be a great choice, but id like to see DK along side or perhaps Mr. Game and Watch himself the daddy of gaming also, i mean where would we be without him and mario eh?

Video games deserve a part of the fame.Just like movies and television soap operas, video games have a way in capturing us emotionally. They can excite us anger us and make us laugh. They can even make us cry. The time and money spent on games is unbelievable. The hardwork and emotions put into a game make a person proud whether it is the maker or the player. Games have set a new outlook on life and imagination. So it is my belief and demand that video games deserve the right to be a part of Hollywood and it's fame. Let's see those games cemented into history!
In my opnion, the stars from the Mario and Zelda series from Nintendo are just as good as, if not more entertaining, than most of the other stars on the walk of fame. Give video game history its due.

deserve "The Walk of Fame". Especially ones still as strong as they were when they first hit audiences.
I have spend more time viewing mario jump on goomba's than I have viewed any movie star in any movie. It's time for proper representation on this famous street in an a part of LA that actually turns out to be a dump.
Video games have shaped society more dramatically than any movie or movie star has for the past decade or so they are a way of life to some. Characters such as Sonic, Mario, Cloud and Numerous other unforgetable characters should be allowed to be in the WALK OF FAMe
Video games deserve every right to be in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Unlike movies, people actually have to think and work hard at them. Many people are much more devoted to video game characters than they are to movie stars and I'm sure it would increase the popularity of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. If Mickey Mouse can gain that sort of recognition, why not Mario? Video game characters are a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry, and their time for lasting recognition has come. They've become irremovable figures in the lives of countless gamers and non-gamers alike, having conquered the console and spread their presence across even the traditional genres of television, film, books, and music. So far as they've proven themselves, these characters are not only dauntless, but timeless and international. Few are more deserving of this chance to have their names in the history books.
The video game market now makes more money than the movie industry. Famous video game characters like Mario and Zelda deserve the Walk of Fame just as much or even more than famous actors!
video games... only reason i sign this is not because i like video games, just that if that fact is true (that they bring in more than box offices per year), then they deserve part of it.
Video game characters are known throught the world. If you go to another continet they might not have the same celberties. Also, some video game characters like Link are imortal. They have touched a generation. There is no reason why our fictional heros do not deserve the same recognition that living ones get.
How can you even mention FF and Sonic in the same paragraph as Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, and Metriod? Nintendo always has, and always will be the leader in interactive entertainment, and their characters surpass any other company's characters. Personally, I hope Microsoft and Sony bomb on their next gen systems too. Link, Mario, and company should have an entire sidewalk dedicated to them, not just a few stars on the walk of fame!
I think that the "star" should be an original NES controller for Mario and the Triforce for Link but yeah I support having them on the Walk of Fame! Go Super Plumbers!
ok, dont get me wrong i love final fantasy, but who is the most known rpg character in the world? thats right, link. thats pretty much because final fantasy always has and always will suck compared to ANY zelda game, except maybe zelda 2.i see no reason not to put link and mario on the walk of fame. they deserve it. zelda revolutionized the gaming world as the first game to ever offer the save option. zelda always has and always will be a great game. and any one who has ever played a video game has heard of mario. he is old and new schooland just for the record, halo has nothing on metroid. im nintendo all the way baby. forget about sega, microsoft, and sony, i hate psp and hope sonys ps3 bombs. yes these characters defintely deserve a spot on the hollywood walk of fame.
Squall,Cloud, Link, Snake, Leon Kennedy, the list goes on and on.. They deserve some recognition as far as i'm concerned. Whether in the form of a walk of fame star, or in the form of something else these characters, exspecially the Final Fantasy, i don't care who you are, deserve proper recogniton.
why should ovie stars just get it? we now have a big enough market of the entertainment industry, and a lot of video game characters are just as well known. Its time to give 'em their due. I love video games more than most movies anyway, and alot hae better movies on them, as well.
video games have influenced who i am and how i live far more that any movies or television have. in fact i don't even watch t.v. anymore, video games are just so much better.
Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Solis Snake, Master Chief, Fox McCloud, Resident Evil people (re4) Teken People, Tony Hawk, AND EVERYTHING ELSE MAN, WE DESERVE IT WE WANT IT AND WE ARE GOING TO GET IT
Big Boss,Mario,Solid,Liquid,a nd Solidus Snake and every other video game character should have a spot in the Walk of Fame(except Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2)definetly.
Video games, since the creation of the NES, have made changes in both other types of entertainment and our daily lives. To be honest i play more video games than i use the other types of entertainment available. I believe that Link,Mario,Samaus Aran,Sonic the Hedgehog,Etc. deserve to be on the walk ofg fame as much as,and maybe even more than, the other "stars" honored on the walk of fame!
Considering our generation(s) know Marios face before a good 75% of the faces the rest of the Walk of Fame, I'd say he deserves this spot.
