It would be awesome to see Mario, Link, and other game stars on the walk of fame. They deserve it. If a man who sexually assulted children can have one, so can a super powered plumber.
Mario is the only reason why we still have video games today. He deserves the honor of being on the Walk of Fame. He is the reason why I even started playing video games in the first place. He's that cool.

Mario is an integral part of pop culture of the last 20 plus years. The awareness that his own appearance brought to the form of entertainment of video gaming is just as important as the name of the company that created him. He deserves to be on the walk of fame just on that fact alone. Not to mention the popularity of all his games.
Every pop culture icon deserves a chance to be considered, and video games have become as much a medium of entertainment as the rest. In the future, I'd rather Mario than some lame actor like Aston Kutcher. Don't forget the maestro himself, Pac-Man!

The Mario characters and other nintendo classics, yes. Sonic, yes, but there are many others who will try to get in on this and it should remain reserved for the ones who have been in for the LONG haul like these.
Miyamoto-san definitly deserves to be a part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame for creating such amazing characters such as Link and Mario. Video games allow the players to interact with these characters and sometimes grow attached to them. They have been part of our lives for years and deserve this honor.
Games are the most interactive form of entertainment to date, letting the players not just watch it, but actually live the experiance. Excluding video game characters on the basis that they arent real seems ignorant at best. If you can put C3PO and R2D2 on there, why not Link and Kirby? Both of these characters, and many more, have much longer careers than some of the newest actors given stars. I say, if Mario is going to be collecting stars, give him the one that really matters.
Sonic, Mario, Link, and Kirby are #1 video game characters in the gaming indistry and deserve a spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Sonic and Mario deserve a spot there more than Britney Spears!!!
Mario and Zelda are as recognized as any huge movie star, and have played an enormous role in the entertainment of the last 25 years. They definitely deserve to be on the walk of fame. That and Link kicks ass.
Maybe a star for all nintendo cararcters (Mario, Zelda... ect) but not a star for each. The you have to give one to Pac-Man. And the day Pikachu gets his own star, will be a sad day in Hollywood

Video games are now just and in the coming years WILL be a larger industry than even the movie industry. Its an easy decision, gaming indutry needs to have its due rewards.

Yes, because video games are no longer classified as toys. Consoles are now considered electronics, and games are considered an entertainment medium. Mario, sould be put on the Walk of Fame since his game "Super Mario Bros." saved the industry.
I think the main thing to consider is that just about as much hollywood-style production technique, engineering, acting, and overall talent is used in games now as the other media honored on the walk. So I can't see why at least some games holding high entertainment production quality wouldn't be included.
