No, don't put video game stars there. Put the creators and the people work on games there. People like Miyamoto, Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda. Why should fictional characters be given a place there?
It's a stupid idea. Hollywood isn't the centre of the games industry, in case you have failed to notice.
I truely believe there should be a video game section on the walk of fame. Games made from movie titles helped sell millions of copies of DVD's and VHS. Plus, it all started with the first pong system long ago.

I find it interesting how Mario has yet to have a star on those sacred grounds. He had a wax statue that eliminated the Keanu Reaves commotion - why not have a star?

Video Games are a huge part of many peoples lives. Certain characters affect people in ways that are just as important as actors and musicians. They deserve the same respect of society.
Video Games have touched my life in a way that the movies never could. It would be foolish to ignore the contributions of interactive intertainment to the arts.
Mario and Link have been kicking ass longer than some of the Hollywood Star pigs, and in my opinion are much better actors. After all, what better additions to Hollywood than a chubby Italian and a guy wearing a skirt?
yo put link cause mah first nintendo game was also Orcarina Of Time, that joint was fun. So is Mario but mario is everywhere and the only good mario games r the mario kart, mario bros, and Mario 64. Zelda has many great games. Therefore link should be on the Walk Of Fame

A lot of video game characters (Especially Mario) have been very big figures in popular culture for decades, so I don't see why the 'ol red-suited plumber shouldn't have a star on the Walk of fame. I mean, Mickey Mouse has one, and at one point Mario was regarded as being more reconizible than him!
Videogames are very character driven today, and they create a cinematic feel just as well as movies or TV shows have. Not only should videogame characters be honored but game creators and directors as well. Give the people what they want!
Video game character should definetly be included in the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Hollywood occasionally makes movies based after videogames and Mario happened to be in one. Mario and Nintendo have been with us for a long time and they should finally get some well deserved recognition!

I don't know why this hasn't already been done. Video games are interactive, and provide a stimulating experience for the gamer, whereas movies force you to just sit there and watch things happen for you. Interactivity and video games should be the most widely recognized forms of entertainment, not movies and television.
Video game characters definately deserve their spot on the Walk of Fame. Link, Mario, all the legendary characters and their creators deserve to be honored too.
Link and Mario are two of my favorite video game characters. I love watching films, but there's nothing quite like playing through a Zelda game. I would much rather meet Shigeru Miyamoto than any Hollywood star.
Mario, Link or Sonic might be more known by many ppl than some movie of music stars, plus theyve been around for much more time than many of them, that should be recognized, especialy with such a big audience they have
